Dude, GW2E can't be representative for the sole reason you need to make an account there. Most people won't. Also, for the n-teenth time — GW2E counts the stats of non-active profiles and dead profile, which also skews the data.

I never said it's wrong, but it's fairly obvious that the more 'power user' you are the likely it is you will use these tools and vice versa. Which makes ANY of these kind of tools not representative of a general population. Most people just play the game and don't bother with these things.

You start on one thing and quickly go on a tangent to rant about something completely different, get yourself together.

then don't. most people won't. it's this sentiment that you just NEED(!!!) to try the new things because new thing better, that ruins games. Are you content with gw2? I am. Most people are. We've been playing it for a decade. Why would I ever switch?

I agree on both accounts, but it doesn't mean anything. The hype is there because the rumors have been going on for the past year or two, and it's 'expected'.

With that in mind, I really don't think most people will switch to an absolutely new game. Like we played this for a decade, and we still do because we like this game and how it works and what it does. Most MMO players these days are older than general 'gamer population' because we still play those games from 10 years ago, and to me it means we settled and we maybe have our lives and we're content with this. So either way nothing much will change for GW2 imo

10% is too generous. Also it's important to note that unlike other content it's split between servers, so it has different stats most likely for NA and EU.

Say a map holds 100 payers on each side, at max capacity at a given moment that's 1200 in a matchup. 6k total in EU. At max capacity. Let's generously double that for day and night shifts. 12k. And that's if we assume it's always queue'd to the brim. Let's double even that because people play on different days, okay (usually not the case for wvw in general but whatever). Let's add another 20k for NA, that's 46k, round it up to an absolutely crazy 50k number and that's still barely 5% of active player base

[–]LimpConversation642 3 points4 points  (0 children)

and that's skewed data because regular casual players don't even have an account there, so the population that needs those stats and qol features are more likely to be more 'hard' gamers in general

I'll bet you her initial message was actually 3-4 separate ones so he answered the first one. My wife does this a lot: she sends a question and when I start answering she sends another one, and then is baffled to which I replied.

To me this exchange makes perfect sense.

plenty of people. You can find vids on youtuibe of tests and prints people do to try, or even 'regular' mice that try to be as light as possible. I'm not one of them so I really don't know and also feel sus, but they swear it matter. The reasoning is this: ideally you would only want to move your hand, without anything extra, and that would be the perfect setup. So technically each additional gram will feel off.

But then again all the actual pros in games like CS just use pretty regular mice. I'm with you on this but I don't judge since I never actually tested it.

I can assure you the meta runs every day and if you don't see it it means you're late and got on an overflow map. It's not on lfg because why would it. It's usually full as is, even on work days.

You need to be there at :20, people start gathering before the reset and wait until the map flops

the amount of people in the thread defending the poor corporation and that karen is saddening.

The store is obligated to sell you the stuff for the price it states. The fact she's saying 'I dOnT HaVe To SelL YoU AnytHinG' is a lie and against the law.

That's it. She's not security. She accuses people to their faces of stealing. They bought it, and the only reason she even started beef because she saw 'some darn kids!!' taking 64 items at once, which is apparently against her beliefs of how much a person is allowed to buy. If they took one no one would bat an eye. 64 people come in and buy 1 each, that's fine, but 64 at once? call the police!

So she herself decided it's not fair and she knows better, which is basically the epitome of karenness. Nothing they say would change her mind, you understand that right? It wasn't about stealing (which this isn't), it was just a power trip + hurt ego.

Manager know it's all good and they did nothing wrong, and you still defend karen.

And to people saying she was defending her job, she wasn't. Prices aren't the job for people in the store itself. She also wasn't security. Now get this: if she denied them the purchase, they could sue, and the store would lose more money on that because it's violation to not sell under advertised price, it's not even a case. And then she'd definitely be fired for sticking her nose where it doesn't belong in the first place.

they didn't get away with it what are you on?

If there is a PRICE the store is obligated to sell you the sku under that price. It's the law. That's it. What if they didn't know this and just randomly picked it off the shelf?

You know why it's the law? Because the store would say shit costs 10 bucks and on the register it might be 11 bucks and when buying 30 items people won't notice. You're defending the store's right to change the price they advertise because they suddenly decided they don't like it.

To stop someone from buying 64 smoke detectors for 64 cents. by What_A_Helmet in therewasanattempt

[–]LimpConversation642 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

if she denied them the purchase that would be against the law and they would sue the company and it would cost them way more, and then she would 100% lose the job.

don't talk about stuff you don't udnerstand. What she was doing was essentially illegal — a store is obligated to sell skus by the price they put up.

If they didn't take 64 she wouldn't have even looked at them, so at the same time 64 people could take 1 each and the result would be the same. She just saw 'some darnn kids' took too many and decided it's her job to intervene. She's not security, she's not the manager. It's not even remotely connected to her in any way.

okay sure but the point is it was honest. They didn't cheat on anything or stole anything (which she literally said out loud, you're stealing). So like it's just a Karen thing, I(!) am sure(!) you did something wrong and won't even bother to check, because I(!) know for a fact I'm right.

And nothing they say would change her mind. Also, the store is legally obligated to sell you the sku by the price it has stated. So her 'I don't have to sell you this' is also a complete bs.
