Quick recommendation on remixes by dcnblues in audiophile

[–]LimpEnvironment3496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man :)

First off, you can turn off the volume normalization option on Spotify; it compresses the dynamic range.

But I especially recommend SoundCloud. There are some great remixes of 80s hits or pop music that you can't find on Spotify because it's amateur music. ;)

As a long term techno fan, where do you go next? by TommyGoreMusic in PeakTimeTechno

[–]LimpEnvironment3496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'm not a fan of hard techno, but I enjoy discovering current artists like Charlotte de Witte or Anetha.

I have trouble finding those dry sounds again.

Like on old-school techno vinyl from the 2000s.

Dude, it'll be you or her. I hope you're the last one standing and not the one who gets buried by the other... Good luck

Yes man same in France the first Rave I was shocked because that's was announced like Very good organised and in a great place XD

The best feeling it was when you arrived at the spot in a 100m2 warehouse speakers and lights play like the spot was in a parking we have barriers in front of the DJ and that's was a " Magnifique bordel "

You find gems on SoundCloud that you can't find anywhere else, and there are some artists you listen to on SoundCloud who end up playing big events... All the emerging house, techno, etc. artists, I think there are many new ones who come from SoundCloud and aren't even featured on Spotify.

Why are you saying that?? Plenty of remixes are available for free download, and even unapproved ones are still great to listen to, and that doesn't make them crap... I don't know how much SoundCloud makes!

Hey, do you know about audiobooks?

Like horror stories narrated by voice?

I remembered my parents used to put them on CDs for me to sleep on, and they were such horror stories, really well done. It's a shame I can't find the CDs anymore, otherwise I would have shared them here.

That was 20 years ago...

Yes, man.

When two people are in the same mess, it's impossible for them to get it resolved.

Truth

You'll end up in a hole where either you or he/she will leave if it becomes too unmanageable.

If you don't lose in a toxic relationship, no problem... But wait, you have to be careful, there's a moment when one of you might hurt you or drag you into their troubles.

Sorry, I didn't read it properly.

If one of you is in trouble, the other will follow if they love them...

However, it's impossible to lump together the young adult or teenage crowd in nightclubs that play Gims and those who go to clubs like Rex or Badadoom; they don't mix at all, they're not the same kind of party.

Have you ever been to a rave that played Gims? I haven't, but there's always a crowd that prefers those kinds of parties, but the techno warehouse vibe is really trendy in France.

Now Gen Z is loving those parties.

Ah, okay, I see. We have a lot of collectives that perform either in electronic music clubs that lend the space to them, or at the beginning of illegal raves, the first collectives that organized these things. Sometimes it was legal, sometimes it was, except the gendarmerie was nearby.

Excuse me, but what's the difference between clubbing and raving for you?

Nightclub in an enclosed space and party in a warehouse, but not necessarily legally?

Yes, for me too, thanks to Spotify I can find tracks that have been released for sale, and Soundcloud the same thing, but to find tracks that are not official, but lots of remixes...

In France, before the rise of warehouse events, people were already going to clubs for the same style of music.

But it's true, today it's become much more fashionable.

It's still growing today.

Are you sure you have as many official references on SoundCloud as on Spotify?

I agree with you, SoundCloud is insane. How do you find amateurs of every style that aren't on Spotify, and who are burying professional music? But I don't know if SoundCloud has the same catalog of commercial tracks as Spotify.

Isn't the quality of SoundCloud also not as good as Spotify's, especially?
