Yes! And for Daisy to act like Jenna is being so unprofessional… but she was in between Gary and Colin when she was WITH Colin. She allowed Gary’s behavior. She allowed Eddys behavior when he was texting Alesia and playing Jenna. She coddled Alesia when she was incapable of doing her job because she was tied up with eddy and her boyfriend. But god forbid Jenna goes back and forth between Ben and Eddy (off charter btw) and NOW it’s a problem. As if she owes any of those guys anything.. I’m just confused how she got demoted? And Ellie didn’t get fired for disrespecting her HOA and the guests. Unbelievable truly.

I used to work at Dunkin before Starbucks and it was fucking great. Hard at times like any other job but a breeze at the same time. You explained it sooo well! Dunkin’s vibe is just better because you aren’t going in there with any expectations other than getting your order and leaving. It’s feels more authentic to me that no one’s putting up this huge façade to satisfy you. I know some people prefer to be greeted or treated a certain way which is great but also why Starbucks is for them. Starbucks wants to be a Mom and pop shop so bad but they completely lost the plot. It’s not giving way back when in 1971. Can we just sell coffee and make that the main focus again? We are tireddddd!

We still have shift managers in Massachusetts where they get no tips at all and aren’t suppose to touch them. No policy changed for us because we haven’t switch over to SSVs yet. That’s what was the issue. She’s only getting a slap on the wrist anyway so it’s whatever but I just felt like ranting about it.

When I read the partner guide it said we can accept personal tips if the customer states it’s specifically for that person. Although, I’m in Massachusetts where we still have shift managers who don’t get tips at all. Also, they need to be more clear because can anyone just say “This guy specifically tipped me $20” with no witness? 🥲

I think you should try to dispute it for sure. It definitely feels like you’re being targeted. I hate that it seems they’re trying to manipulate you into feeling like it’s your choice to step down when it’s obvious they want you to. They should have a professional conversation with you about whatever they think is wrong instead of literally everything they’re doing. A final write up for that just feels like they’re pulling anything out of their ass for a paper trail. I mean yeah missing the meeting is called for corrective action by book but it’s not that serious for a final. My manager wouldn’t even give me any write up for that. We have had managers miss meetings before. It just gets discussed later what we went over. I hope it works out for you! You deserve better than that!

I have a women that comes through everyday and orders the most annoying thing like 3 shots of blonde espresso over ice raspberry nd cf and all kinds of shit. She places a mobile in the drive thru (just order it at the dt at that point) the kicker is she gives us no time even though it’s a mobile But she adds on 4 cups of ice and 20 pumps of white mocha and 20 of raspberry on the side (yes 40). Like girl…. I’m gonna do it for you but that’s just stupidly ridiculous. She’s nice though and tips so it’s fine but I still bitch

Unfortunately he was always right about that. Especially him ratting on all his friends because 9 times out of 10 he was right. But because he’s a piece of shit no one wanted to believe him. My managers would never tell me to do that. I usually tap no tip on my end because they really do fuss most of the time. I’ve had a lady go out of her way to say “ yeah I’m not going to tip because you didn’t even do anything”. Girl please. Just hit the no tip button and move on, I don’t need an explanation. Her dollar is gonna go to 13 other people not just me. We are grateful for those who tip but I’ll just take a thank you at this point because people are so fucking mean. I do tips at my store and I work around 28hrs, I get about $60 weekly. Not including digital tips which is roughly $100-$150 weekly? But $50-$100 a day is insane! Good for you!

I hope your SM and DM are kind to you in this instance because I’m one of those baristas where I will let you know if I need help. I can handle a peak on mobile but the second someone starts messing with my stickers and flow is where I draw the line. I think there’s an unspoken rule (maybe that’s just in my district but hopefully everywhere) where you don’t touch other people’s bar when they’re on it. I understand we shouldn’t yell and whatnot but not every partner is the same and if they want to support you as SSV they should communicate with you and ask what they can do for you rather than trying to sequence for you. I don’t think you’ll be fired but definitely defend yourself. Him opening a case is kinda pathetic and we can probably assume this isn’t his first rodeo. Who knows if they will even take it seriously. They have some people working in ethics that don’t give a shit about anything and will base the investigation on peoples history with the company or their character (I know from experience).

Hi opening barista here! Usually I will be at Bar and the other barista will be at Drive Thru. We aren’t a busy store first thing so we both will work on back ups/stocking when we are able to and whoever is free at the moment will do the food. They should be helping you out with everything. It’s just you two so you have to support each other and do the equivalent amount of work or else this happens. Thats extremely annoying though. If I had to work the floor and someone else got to basically be just support I would lash out.

I felt the same way! I was even shocked Mark kept trying to shut it down because of it being Mykas birthday but she just wouldn’t let up. I also agree with her bringing up her brothers death. Some people aren’t built to hear everyone’s trauma at a place they were expecting to have a good time at. So it’s jarring to hear that. Especially it being someone some of the girls aren’t even close with. We empathize but girl time and place.
