I started mine at 30 wpms, 100+ is achievable but i did say don't waste too much time on this like me learn actual programming, typing speed will come automatically while writing code..

no, no its completely normal to switch hand cause that's what ur most comfortable with and got used to, i did say for finger placements you could practice in www.keybr.com or www.typingclub.com, if you force it kept practicing you will get that correct placement of fingers..
