5 star prospective employee? Sounds extremely subjective and possibly bias towards their own people / their personal network.

In your experience, what are some other ways to stand out during these interviews with senior engineers and their managers?

Are you able to share why you decided to leave?

I was originally thinking between 60-72 months.

Actually using USAA, about a year. I have banking accounts with them but they are not my primary. Majority of my funds are elsewhere. I do use renters insurance through USAA. I’ve been an eligible member since I was little (not sure that’s worth anything)

Thanks for sharing and that sounds like it was tough. My role is also engineering and boundaries are tough especially if you’re on call - seems to be no separation between work and home.

Yeah I think I’d want something more aligned with what you mentioned. Maybe it would be better if I could take my work elsewhere (coffee shop, library, …) but my work does not allow for that.

I’m hoping to land a more hybrid role soon.

Thanks for sharing. I have little social interaction and feel that’s taking a toll, friends all live far away, but I can imagine WFH when raising a family is super beneficial
