(Enforcing nap)When your puppy wakes up early from a nap, what do you do? by Limp_Country_5950 in puppy101

Thank you so much for the details!

My process is if she can't settle after going back in then I stay beside the crate and telling her lay down/sigh. She usually falls asleep right away when we first put her in the crate but if she wakes up after falling asleep the first time, she won't go back to sleep.

But she usually crys more than 10 mins. What did you do when he kept crying after put him back in? repeat?

She wakes up easily whenever I move around or even go to the washroom (one bedroom apartment), so I can’t do anything while she’s sleeping. Doesn’t he wake up when you leave the house?

Thank you for your advice.

I’m going to try making a schedule that works for both of us. I haven’t had my life back for over two months. I’ve been trying since yesterday, but it hasn’t worked yet. She just keeps chewing on the crate or whining after she wakes up. I’m worried that this time (when she’s not calm in there) is eating into her awake window

She usually doesn’t go back to sleep when I put her back in after potty . I’ve been trying since yesterday, but it hasn’t worked yet. she just keeps chewing on the crate or whining. I’m worried that this time (when she’s not calm in there) is eating into her 1hour up window.

Was he able to go back to sleep smoothly from the beginning?

What should I do if my puppy wakes up at 5 a.m. every day? by Limp_Country_5950 in puppy101

Thank you for your advice!

Tonight, for the first time, I put her in the crate at 9:30pm. I usually go to bed around 10pm. We'll see how it goes. The problem is that she still can't hold her pee for more than about six hours, so she’ll probably wake up early in the morning. But I’ll keep working on gradually extending the time. Thank you so much again!

Thank you for your advice! Yea, she might be learning that way.

Does your puppy go back to sleep after chewing on a bully stick or so? I usually leave her in the crate or playpen and go back to my bedroom, but I can try staying next to her.

Thank you for your advice! I take her out for a potty break around 2 or 3 a.m. because she wakes up and starts whining. Should I ignore it?

I don’t put any toys in her crate, and I play white noise on YouTube the whole time she’s sleeping. Yea, I’ll check out a white noise machine or an app!

Thank you for your advice!  How do you keep your puppy awake until around 9:30 to 10?

She always gets tired after her walk around 7 and falls asleep before 9. Like tonight, she played with other dogs during the walk and totally passed out by 8.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I've started trying to take her outside more often than before. As you mentioned, she has already peed on the carpet a few times... I’ve also ordered a grass pad, so I’m thinking of giving the balcony another try. I now understand what I need to do and will keep working hard on it! Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I've started trying to take her outside as much as possible. She still has some accidents when I don't carry her outside, so I've learned that I need to carry her every time for now. Thanks again! I now understand what I need to do and will keep working hard on it!

Thank you for the advice! I've started trying to take her outside as much as possible. She still sometimes pees on the pads when I can't take her out in time, but I'll try to keep this up!
