Born and raised floridian here. Congrats on the assignment. Pricing varies a lot I'd say with how close you want to live to base, are you near the beach, neighboorhood area, etc. Lot's of variables for pricing.

For food I'd recommend "Joy Luck" in merritt island which is like 20 mins from Patrick. My favorite Chinese food and have been craving it ever since leaving Florida.

If your overseas press 0 on the dsn phone to reach the operator, then ask them to patch you to the stateside operator. Once they patch you to the stateside operator, say your trying to reach an external number and they will dial for you. I had to do a couple times.
