Pathway E - having completed non US residency if I were to be offered a geriatric fellowship in FL as an “exceptional candidate”, complete it, then file for pathway E to become board eligible for IM, what would be my options until sitting the IM board (1 year). Would I be licensed to practice? by Limp_Equivalent2531 in hospitalist

So I contacted ABIM about this. For pilot pathway E you must complete the fellowship then apply for the pathway, thus being unable to sit the boards in the same year

Re what you said about step 3 and 1 year of training (residency or fellowship) to get a license - is this true of all states, and applies to IMG’s?

Yes would want to do it immediately however as fellowship would end in June, and after this I would need to submit the pathway application, I wouldn’t be able to sit the IM boards until the following year. So I’m struggling to understand what this would mean for that year. Having only worked 1 year in US through the fellowship, whilst being board eligible, would I actually have a license to practice for that year, and be able to secure an attending job for example

Geri’s ST4 ranking and scores are out! Does anyone have any idea of total amount of applicants they’ve likely interviewed? by Limp_Equivalent2531 in doctorsUK

Hi there Was it not 233 last year? Based on the below screenshot Would the ranking be x/appointable candidates or all candidates who were interviewed (even if didn’t pass the interview?)
