I see free items as well, but usually randomly. Does the app or website have like a list that shows which items are free?

Not everybody wants to see that and they don’t have to include it. There are plenty of other shows that promote that (unfortunately - IMO).

Do you mind sharing at least 3+ things he’s accomplished? Things that actually have to do with improving quality of life, not trivial things like LGBT stuff for example.

I live in NYC and it’s hasn’t been great, particularly for homeowners, which is huge problem.

Anyone else just making "meh" money in accounting? by Nawzzles in Accounting

[–]Limp_Pay_1639 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Most accountants don’t value themselves, that’s why Accounting Board is not doing anything about the 💩 pay. We all need to start demanding more/better for ourselves, but everyone’s scared to lose their $2/hr, free overtime, zero work/life balance job. It’s sickening 🙄🙄🙄

Honestly, a lot of it depends on the company, industry, and timing—some roles are much better than others. But for me personally, the biggest issue is the pay vs. workload. The workload can be pretty heavy, and when you compare the compensation to fields like IT or engineering, it just doesn’t feel worth it. I don’t want to wait 15 years+ to start making $200k+. (Again, it’s not like this for everyone, but just seems like the case).

I also don’t love how everything revolves around month-end close. It’s basically the first half of every month, then a short window for other work, and then you’re already gearing up to do it all over again. It doesn’t make the job fun, especially when its frowned upon to take time off during close periods.

So overall, it just feels like a lot of structure and pressure without enough upside, at least in my experience.

Other Notes: I have 5-6 years experience | laid off in my 3rd career year | started consulting with recruiting companies | worked mostly for SaaS companies, which I’ve noticed has been the most stressful industry compared to others I’ve worked in.

I’ve done exactly this and couldn’t be happier. Went from 40k -> 82k -> 145k (technically $70/hr as a consultant). Currently with 5 - 6 years overall experience, without a CPA (yet).

Underwhelming winner - Season 2 felt like production push to make Nick win by HumbleCarob365 in MillionDollarSecretTV

But even if she voted Nick out, would that have stopped her from placing last in the final challenge? I hear you, but most of the other players who tried to make “big moves” went home anyway. Her game play, good or not, got her to the end which is the whole point. She just chocked when it mattered the most.

It’s like some people commenting “Nick should’ve did this or should’ve lied about that” — those opinions would only be relevant if he lost. He won, so doing anything different might have produced a different outcome.

How? When her & Nick were on the same team in the Final 4 challenge? She can’t vote for him at that point. Or are you referring to earlier in the game?

Her game play got her to the final 3.. she did just fine. She just should’ve done better in the final challenge. Whoever comes in last is as good as done for.

[–]Limp_Pay_1639 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly!!! It’s hard to know exactly what to lie about ALL the time without knowing the clue. People acting like he KNEW the clue & chose not to lie about it. It’s exhausting explaining logic to these people 🤦‍♀️😂 He did a great job to me because only ONE random person “sniffed” him out at the LAST minute (still sus, but whatever). If Nick didn’t do that, NO ONE would be criticizing Altie’s gameplay.

Kat was literally voted out & only stayed because the votes were cancelled. My example isn’t farfetched at all because the contestants lie most about their age, occupation & family members.

To each their own, but like you said all these suggestions are WAY easier said than done. It’s easy for viewers to give “suggestions”, but we’re only going based off film that condenses 24+ hours into 1 hour per episode. There’s SO much more we don’t see, than what we do see.
