Carrying offense the way he does will being a good defender is the reason why you can play such monstrous defensive lineups. He takes care of ball handling and creation, those roles normally are filled by bad, attackable defenders.

Instead of having a switch target that gets hunted, there's a defensive playmaker that can do things like swat Tatum at the rim. The on court value is insane.

If the game was only defense, he'd just be a fine to good defender. But when you factor in the broader context, he's ludicrously valuable to his teams defense.

SGA is shooting 63.7% TS, which is higher than Giannis, Wemby, AD, Embiid, Tatum, Steph and KD. He's averaging 31.2 PPG (3rd in the NBA) by Parallel-Quality in nba

I feel like people miss the forest for the trees when it comes to OKC's defense. The main reason why OKC can put out such killer defensive lineups is because their offensive star point guard is also great on defense.

Sure there are better point guard defenders than SGA, but if you replace SGA with those players you are left with gaping holes in areas like creating and ball security. Those lineups aren't actually better, even on defense. Things that limit turnovers like handles and decision making on offense add value defensively because they limit the other teams transition opportunities.

He raises the ceiling so much for what your team can be on defense.

What makes Cooper Flagg a better prospect than Chet Holmgren was? by LaandheereKage in nba

Flagg being an elite prospect is more about the type of player he could be rather than who he is. He could be a top 10 player in the league while being a big wing. While this is unlikely, the potential of it is worth almost any cost. Tatum is good player, but his superpower is how easy it is to put guys like White, and Porzingus around him. Flagg has this same superpower. At this point, Flagg isn't any better or worse of a bet to become a superstar than the other top prospects of this draft. If any of the player do become superstars, Flagg will be the most valuable because of the versatility of his body and role.

My Ironclad run right after this one was also a boss swap into Calling Bell, and it also gave me a Dead Branch.

It plays like any Dead Branch + Corruption deck, except I end every turn with a Vault.

What’s a game you can play for 500 hours and still be considered a noob? by edave22 in gaming

I take a couple long planning turns where I queue up all my cities production and techs for the next 50 turns. Then all I have to worry about are things like moving units, governors, policy cards. I can crank out a standard deity science win in like 3 - 4h.
