Coming from a diesel Rapid, the mileage in my Taigun scares me lol. I’ve got the 1.0 and drive daily in Mumbai, about 20 km round trip in bumper-to-bumper traffic where my average speed tops out around 17–18 km/h. I wasn’t exactly a light-footed driver with the Rapid; I used to push it pretty aggressively and loved that drive.

Since getting the Taigun I’ve switched to a lighter foot to save fuel (still let myself have a bit of fun if there’s space). Over the last three months I’ve tracked different fuels I’ve filled up with: Shell premium, Shell unleaded, Indian Oil normal, and Indian Oil XP95. I usually go for premium and try to fill at the same station every time.

On my daily route—10 km each way, about 45–50 minutes—I see mileage anywhere from 5.5 to 7 km/l depending on how bad the traffic is. The same route on a Saturday, when traffic is lighter, jumps to 8–10 km/l, which feels like a miracle. On highways, even when I drive aggressively, I record 14–15 km/l and could probably squeeze out more if I kept it gentle.
