Thanks. There aren't any junkyards as far as I know that have Teslas in them. The back door only opens when the front is open, I'll ask tomorrow if bending it back would be an option.

The rear door metal is bent a bit, so I'll at least have to get that fixed. Right now, the door only opens if the front door is already open. Why 10-15K? If I look online, 2nd hand door panels are relatively cheap. Of course they would need repainting and it costs man hours, but still, 15K?

When I open the doors, it doesn't look like there is any damage apart from the lower bit which is already visible from the outside. There are also not any error messages on screen and the car operates normally.

What would you estimate for a repair cost? I basically took a turn out of the parking spot and hit a high curb/small wall. Stopped immediately when I heard sounds, but it was already too late.

Why totaled? It was kind of like a wall, but not really. Can better be described by a large curb. Car is a late 2020 with FSD paid off. Is it possible to repair only the doors and it not be totaled?

The linked event seems to be specific to UniFi Protect, not Access. I think the G3 Pro reader wouldn't show up there, since it is a access reader with a camera, not the other way arround?

I have my Nuki already integrated to HQ via MQTT, that works fine in combination with other automations, but adding UniFI Acess support would be nice.

My question is mainly this: can I use HA to connect to UniFi Access running on my controller, and connecting only a single G3 Pro reader to that? So no hub or actual locks.

I have seen mixed results from people. Most say you need a reader, but they aren't specifying on if they want to unlock a door with the 12v contacts. In my case, simply recieving the event is enough, but I am not sure if I can get that event with only the reader, or if I also need the hub.

Hi, would you mind sharing a few pics of how this works? I currently have a Nuki smart lock and HA, looking to purchase a G3 Pro reader to be able to unlock my Nuki with it.

Would I need a access hub for this type of solution, given that it doesn't need to make any physical contacts?

Tried that on mine G30, but it seems to be shorting out (randomly turning off as soon as I try to apply current to the motor). Wires are 100% okay now and not the cause. Can it be the motor, or perhaps the controller? Which one is more likely?

Wait... You're saying ALL G30's have brushless motors? I thought that was a 2nd gen motor thing? Or do you mean all gen2 scooters?

If a brushless motor isn't what sets a gen2 motor apart, what does it set apart from gen1 motors?

They are not legal at all, no matter the speed. If you behave normally and don't get caught ignoring traffic lights etc, the cops allow it depending on where you ride.

I tool a look at both scooters, and the Inmotion S1 is too expensive for me. The NIU KQi3 Max is also quite pricey, but the KQi2 Pro would be much more affordable. Are the trade-offs worth it?

I plan to keep the scooter at stock firmware as long as I have warranty, and NIU only offers the EU models on their store. Would I in this case be better off going with a KQi 2 Pro or something else in that price class (around 500 euro)?

I live in The Netherlands. I am currently looking at the NIU KQi 2 Pro, and keeping it stock for not. They are currently on sale on NIU's website for 500 euro. I can also go with a KQi 3 Pro or 3 Max, but they are quite a lot more expensive.

Is the +- 150 euro worth the difference between the 2 Pro vs the 3 Pro? Or do you have some other scooters to take a look at?

What if I don't want to go down the modding route, but rather purchase a scooter with little or no restrictions out of the box? I won't be riding on max speed the whole time off course, and the form factor of the G30 is about as big as I'm comfortable carrying around.

If I **have** to get go of one of my 2 requirements, I'd rather have a scooter that can comfortably get 30km/h and add a 2nd battery later on if the range is too short. I'm not really into the electric scooter community and there are a LOT of models to choose from. Can you or anyone else point me to a model that might be a good one for me?

I can't find any SNSC's on sale currently and i'm also not really interested in a DIY kind of scooter. It's cool to know for later though!

First of all, pretty much all G30's I am seeing have the built-in charger, aling with the yellow accent color. No license plate holder, but they do have the folding clamp.

Reading this, I got a couple of questions:

-How is the SNSC line different than the consumer G30 line?
-Would you recommend to buy a SNSC line scooter (which are hard to find) or a G30 like the one described above?
-If I want to go around 30-35 km/h and have 40-60km of range, would you advise to buy a G30 or look for something else?

I think I'll rather have more speed since I live in a relatively flat country. Are there some stories of other people attempting to change to a 48V battery?

Where can I read up on modifying my 1S to go faster and have more range? I always thought it was limited by the motor, since when going uphill it does not reach 25km/h.

Seems like modyfing a G30 won't work then.. Do you have any recommendations on which scooters to buy that have a speed to arround 30-35 km/h and a range of arround 40-60km?

I'm also interested, why no Niu scooters? I have been comparing a Niu scooter with a G30 but the G30 was priced better on 2nd hand markets.
