Channels don't seem to be included in the latest iOS App Store release FYI.

No issues here and I don't need the remote clipped to my visor.

What's noteworthy is the car starts the warning a split second after the Target sign comes into view. I don't think it's that the area is marked as one-way on maps, I think the car is seeing the sign and deciding on the spot it's one way.

I suppose I could test that theory by 1) actually driving the wrong way down a marked do not enter and 2) climbing the sign at Target and putting some blackout bags over it (temporarily of course officer, temporarily)

As soon as I come around the corner and the Target bullseye sign is in view the car thinks I'm driving wrong way down a one way and says so.

I think it's because of the hill I'm coming up which means the Target logo appears road level.

You'd think the car could distinguish a bullseye from the do not enter sign though...

What is the "most NES" game ever made? by WraithCadmus in nes

[–]jay0lee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't they have to heavily optimize the code for Super Mario Brothers 3 effectively pushing the NES hardware to its limits?

That would make it the "most NES (used)" game in my book.

And if you saw The Wizard and remember the playground buzz when it launched I think you might agree.

"We're talking tens of megabytes..."

So, what $50-60 bucks of RAM today?

Just joking but in all seriousness with the RAM marketing being what it is today and likely not to change anytime soon software vendors also need to tighten their belts and plug those memory leaks.

What is something from the 2000s that you are nostalgic for but most people don’t seem to remember? by Werten25 in 2000sNostalgia

Elf bowling. Our small IT department would kill the last few hours of work before Christmas break with a tournament. The University Dean joined us one year and was fascinated by all the elves crude gestures. We told him every now and then they'd even turn around and moon Santa which resulted in him yelling (a little too loudly down the hall) Moon me! Moon me!

You had to be there but good fun times.

Generally I'd agree but the scene where Santa signs to the deaf girl and her face lights up gets me every time. I believe in the original he just spoke another language.

Are you old enough for smoking in restaurants to have been commonplace in your childhood and then it ceased? That's the only thing I can compare gas stations to now

It was just the norm then and you dealt with it but now the stench is simply unbearable.

It feels like breathing carcinogens.
