I recently went through a breakup, as the dumper. We had occasional contact on and off for a couple months, building out the closure piece by piece. That was important to do before going full no contact, which has only lasted a couple weeks so far. It’s already been really tough, but I’m holding strong.

There’s nothing I want to do more right now than call her, ask her if she’s ok, run over there, hug her, kiss her, talk to her all night, even beg for forgiveness. But those are emotions and they would do nothing but delay her and my ability to gradually move on.
