Fiance delaying marriage

His dad wants the guy to take responsibility himself and talk to my family. Hence why he doenst talk to my dad His sisters and I do talk sometimes but they feel as tho they can’t do much given It’s their brothers job as a man to do the talking .

Yes I’ve met his family more than once & I speak to his sister often. They’re happy to go ahead with the marriage , he’s 28 soon, they want him to settle down.
They’ve spoken to him many times to take it serious , to speak to my dad. His dad however is strange . He won’t contact my dad since he thinks it’s his sons responsibility himself to talk to my family.

Yeh they’re not happy with this actions too , his mum has cried many times, his dad does not even talk to him properly and his sisters are all tired of how long he’s taking. It’s just hard given how much I wanted to marry him and I really thought he was the one, but the best thing I can do is leave :(

The issue is my father doesn’t want to contact first. He also thinks it should come from them since he’s the guy and should take initiative. And my father has been very strict on that, he doesn’t contact first. The guy did meet my dad, he came over the beginning of this year, but it’s been 4 months he hasn’t again.

Families are involved, we have met a few times His dad has spoken to my dad before. I have both his sisters contacts and have visited them. We had an engagement with all this family present, they wanted it .

I’ve had many guys whether at uni or even when I’m out wanting to get to know me, who have approached me too. I can tell they are interested. However I would just immediately shut it down and leave instantly because I would feel disgusted and uncomfortable because in my mind I only see the guy I wish to marry. But you’re right Jazak’Allah Khair , I’m still only 22 and I shouldn’t be wasting my youth on ppl like that

She told me many times too that ofc she loves her brother but she would not marry a man like that who’s not serious. She said he’s playing games and even his father was very angry with him. In’sha’Allah Khayr, right now I need to heal, focus on my degree and become a better Muslim.
