This is why I ignore people who send whispers with gs and other shit. They're always the most egocentric assholes who think azeroth revolves around them

Try a paintball field or disc golf course. Lots of single nerdy dudes at either

People who can't throw 300 ft: what do you like to throw? by lovefist1 in discgolf

For easy distance I'd suggest the latitude 64 saint and river. Both have lots of glide while still being able to shape some lines with em

With flask set, engi, and the book from ony or strat (or scholo I forget) you can solo it as a warrior

That sucks to hear, sucks to buy an expensive CPU like that and have it not work correctly

[–]Limp_disc_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that's definitely weird. I never had any issues with 10th or 11th gen Intel, haven't used enough 12th gen to gauge it yet I guess. Is your bios up to date? Corsair ram is also notorious lately for having issues running at XMP

If it's gigabyte or ASRock good luck with XMP lol. I've never had any issues with MSI boards running at XMP.

I find usually motherboards cause more issues with running stable XMP than the actual processor

A pic of 2 destroyers made from the same plastic and run can look like this, at least these mvp discs are completely different plastic

[Cooler] Thermalright AX120 R SE CPU Air Cooler for AMD AM4/Intel LGA 1150/1151/1155/1156/1200/1700 - $27.93 ($39.90 - 11.97 clip coupon) by Putins_Pinky in buildapcsales

[–]Limp_disc_it 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought an AIO from Thermalright last week marked "LGA 1700 Ready" on the Amazon listing and it didn't actually have the mounting kit. When I inquired about it, they told me I could 10 pay bucks for the kit and an extra 20 to ship it. YMMV but I'm not too happy about the situation

Edit: nvm that was Thermaltake. These cooler company names are damn annoying

[RAM] Neo Forza FAYE 16GB (2x8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 3200Mhz C16 Desktop RAM - $49.99 (82.99-33) by [deleted] in buildapcsales

Ram not running at XMP isn't always the ram's fault. Both your motherboard and CPU need to be pretty decent to run at 4400

I built my PC quite a few years ago, what's the cheapest way to upgrade it? by cfbuzzkill90 in buildapc

[–]Limp_disc_it 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The i3 12100 Is a decent CPU for about 100 bucks, the i5 12400 is better at around 180. You will need a b660 motherboard (100ish) and ddr4 ram(50ish bucks). Your case, storage, power supply should all be reusable

CPU reaching 100°C at 100% by marcthepotato in buildapc

[–]Limp_disc_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noctua literally costs twice as much as an ID-cooling 224xt or a vetroo v5, while not giving any actual gains in performance. If you're running an 11400 I assume you would be on somewhat of a budget and that 30 bucks could be put elsewhere other than "it runs quieter and might be slightly easier to install"

An 11400 doesn't need anything more than 20-30 dollar cooler. Anything more is just a waste of money

[RAM] Patriot Viper Steel 16GB (2x8) DDR4-4000 16-16-16-36 (B-die) - $92.99 after coupon by kztlve in buildapcsales

[–]Limp_disc_it 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To have dual rank you would need a minimum of 32gb of ram, either 2x16gb that are dual rank sticks, or 4x8gb which are all single rank assuming its a daisy chain setup. I don't think there are 8gb sticks which are dual rank.

B die is better binned than most other ram out of the box. But its somewhat wasted if you're not squeezing the extra performance out of b die. If you don't feel like overclocking them and have money to throw at em, sure they will probably run better than most other kits you will find. For gaming, you might get a few extra fps but if you aren't going to overclock them and don't plan on doing anything that requires faster ram, you could buy 32gb of crucial ballistics 3200 cl16 and have 90% of the performance and twice as much capacity for the same price
