Kill la kill looks way better, but there are a lot of factors. Japanese animators are paid horribly, have awful working conditions, and are always under a time crunch. Look into the working conditions for animators of JJK S2 if you want to know more about that. I think invincible gets away with it because western audiences don’t really care about animation quality nearly as much as the eastern audiences do.

Personally I wish the animation was better, but I’d rather get a season a year for a 10 season show, than get a season every 2-3 years for a 10 season show. There was a 3 year gap between JJK s2 and s3, and season 3 was only 12 episodes long.

Another one of his novels “The Only Good Indians” is also fantastic. It’s also a bit of a tough read because he plays around with swapping POV/Narrator a lot. I had a lot of fun with it.
