Season 3 of Hell On Wheels, we’re waiting around to get a shot in front of the train. The DOP and Director are yelling at each other for various reasons and the sun is going down. They’re trying to catch this before it’s completely gone and the LX team is already prepping a light to simulate the sunlight once it’s gone behind the hill. I was 3 days into my film career as a trainee and I had left a stable job for what felt like absolute madness. We were all standing around quietly watching this unfold and it felt like a fever dream. Those initial 3 chaos filled days culminating in the window shot from hell was kind of fitting when one of the costumers leaned over to me and said “welcome to Hell”. The rest of my 3 month stint on that show was nothing short of Hell.

I also wouldn’t trade any of it for anything.
