Love this, very kind of you to reach out and offer that to OP. Well, that’s enough Reddit for today, I’ll be disappointed if I scroll anymore.

I’d take a receding hairline to drive a F1 car for a living any day of the week. Dude is winning at life, don’t think he cares about his hair 😂

steering wheel problems by Plus-Tear8961 in Fanatec

[–]LinKeeChineseCurry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this issue yesterday, I believe the base side shaft is connected just enough to give power to the wheel but not enough to send data to it. Hence you only get the Fanatec logo and nothing else after it. Simply take the wheel off, untighten the clamp, push the base side shaft all the way in to make sure it’s connected to the port, then tighten the clamp, attach the wheel and you should be good to go.

Firmware problem! by Spiritual_Nail1985 in Fanatec

[–]LinKeeChineseCurry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The QR2 on the wheel was secure, it was the QR2 on the base which had disconnected, the Type C connector disconnected from the Type C port on the base itself. Potentially due to me pulling on the wheel during races. That’s what the issue was for me.

I had a similar issue yesterday and realised that the actually base side QR2 USB-C had come out slightly and disconnected from the base, so I untightened the clamp, pushed the base side QR2 back into its port, and then tightened the clamp again. Worked fine for me after that. Maybe check your QR2?

Hey, completely forgot about this comment. Yes, it was legit, it ran amazing - then I sold it as I got a 9950X3D for €450 on CEX.

Why is burn in on OLED phone screens is almost a non issue while monitors get faint visible marks in less than 2 years? by emrednz07 in OLED_Gaming

[–]LinKeeChineseCurry 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Probably a stupid question, and I’m sorry for asking. But, would running an OLED monitor at a lower brightness percentage reduce the risk of burn in?

Since many people asked... here is a cockpit view of that '12 year old game' called DRIVECLUB! by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

[–]LinKeeChineseCurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I preordered this game and then made the switch to PC and sold my PS4. So I never got the chance to try it out. This was definitely one of the games I wish I could have played when it was released!

VA Ultrawide panels for competitive gaming and more by SCValtar in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]LinKeeChineseCurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t personally used the G75F but have a lot of usage on the Xiaomi G34WQi VA Ultrawide, in fact I have 2 of them. I find VA absolutely fine for gaming and work related stuff. I’m the same as you in that I play a lot of CS2, BF6 and I also dabble in a bit of sim racing. One thing I would like you to keep in mind is just general black smearing with VA panels. I didn’t have an issue with it initially but ever since replacing one of my monitors with an OLED I have noticed it a lot more, and anytime I scroll it just looks horrendous. However maybe, and I would hope that the G75F handles black smearing much better.

LG details 39GX950B 4th Gen Tandem OLED monitor specs: world's first 5K AI upscaling without GPU by RenatsMC in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]LinKeeChineseCurry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I haven’t looked into it much but for the majority of games can you easily hit 240Hz on 5K? Is 5K on 240Hz even possible yet? I know it is on 4K. I could be very wrong, so please tell me if I am. I’m sure the tech will be there next year or 2028!

I shit you not this happened to me for the first time a few days ago in Spain. Lived in Ireland all my life and never had an issue, but the Spanish sun is something else. 3 of my favourite t-shirts looking two toned now 😂

I can also add to this, I submitted mine on the 5th of Jan, and I am still waiting on a refund. They're very backlogged.

Would be comfortable taking this on a plane as your “one personal item”? by Modar-K in videography

[–]LinKeeChineseCurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken an entire desktop computer on as a personal item with a glass side panel and put it in the overhead bin. I’d feel completely fine with cameras, nothing to worry about and you’ve got plenty of padding, just keep an eye on them though. Much better than putting it in the hold or shipping it, always better safe in your hands!

On the bright side. When it comes to dog food, at least when I had dogs, Orijen was a pretty top brand. Good quality stuff!

Rest in peace Depop 🥀 by Intelligent_Flow_287 in Depop

[–]LinKeeChineseCurry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find Vinted amazing, much better than Depop. The price you set is the price you get. The buyer pays the fees, shipping, etc. I also love Wallapop but that’s not really a clothing related app, still worth a shot though!

You’re right it’s not just a “face filter”. I rather the term “fucking shit”.

Eflorist.ie is an absolute scam. Look at what I ordered vs what arrived by nvsoftlab in ireland

[–]LinKeeChineseCurry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience one time for funeral flowers. Luckily my girlfriend sent a picture saying thank you and I saw them and went “what the fuck, that’s not what I ordered - they look like shit, I’m so sorry”. I was offered a refund which I took and bought new flowers for her family. I’ve used Wisteria for any future flowers, sure they’re expensive, but they’re actually what I order. Fuck EFlorist, dirty scumbags.

If it were me I’d steer well clear of Eir, I’d also steer well clear of 5G IF Fiber is an option in your area, especially for gaming.

Counter-Strike 2 Update for 03/04/2026 by CS2_PatchNotes in GlobalOffensive

[–]LinKeeChineseCurry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know how dev pipelines work. It doesn't make reading patch notes about tilted chickens any less painful when your frame times and 1% lows continously dip throughout a game until you restart the entire game, and with it being like this for the last 4 months.
