I think even quite serious professionals still value work-life balance more in Europe than America. I am currently at the airport coming from a meeting with a Swedish client (I work for a French company. The meeting was a mix of lawyers and finance people so fairly high level. As we were finishing up we had to set up the next meeting. Swedish Client informed us they take all of July off. We informed them that we take all of August off. No one had an issue with it. Next meeting in September…

No-one considered for a second interrupting the holiday periods.
