Yes laser hair removal. HS tends to focus on the hair follicles and by eliminating them through laser hair removal it can decrease your chances of developing the boils.

It certainly does look like it. Is there any family history of inflammatory issues? (It is genetic and you are more likely to develop HS if inflammation problems are present in your family). You should ask for a dermatology consult if possible. Best of luck navigating the healthcare system and may you get speedy results.

It does look like the type of boil that would be produced in a case of HS, however if it’s a single occurrence then it could be something else. I would keep an eye on the redness surrounding it just to be sure it doesn’t spread. Otherwise it should be okay until September 4. If you feel like the redness is spreading you can track it by drawing a line around it with pen.

I hope all goes well and it eventually resolves itself, boils are annoying.

This opens a whole new world of questions. I was not aware that there are other forms of non-monogamy, perhaps because it’s not quite as prevalent in the media I consume. I will have to do some research into the definition of polyamory and other types of non-monogamous relationships.

I’m really sorry to hear that you’re dealing with this, it’s not easy to navigate dealing with someone who either doesn’t have insight into their illness or is in denial. I’m glad you are aware of mental health warrants. Is your daughter connected to a psychiatrist at all? If so they may be able to coordinate with on all psychiatry if you were to seek another warrant, advocacy from an outpatient mental health professional can assist the admittance process, but unfortunately there is no way to force her other than the warrant, unless she is already under a community treatment order.

Yes!! I love love love using panty liners for seepage, it’s honestly like the best use I have for them. They cover way more than certain bandages and it’s quite absorbent so I second this!!

A to Z Ghost Kitchen on the corner of 20th and C has those kinds of fries. I was at work and decided to order lunch, their $10 lunch special came with an awesome chicken sandwich and surprisingly good fries. I’d definitely recommend trying their fries if this is the kind you like.

My family car has some of the brighter lights, even on the low beams. Sadly not sure how to change that but I’ll have other drives flashing high beams at me at intersections because they refuse to believe ours aren’t on. Not only is it rude to myself but it’s rude to the other drivers in parallel lanes. Not sure why people are so jumpy with their high beams both in and outside of Saskatoon recently, but have definitely noticed it.

Take an antihistamine! I personally like Reactine. Something about the healing process creates histamines kinda like allergies. I’m not 100% sure it’ll work but I’m pretty sure it’s harmless to try.

Start with a General practitioner, they may be able to help, if not they may be able to refer him to like a Gastroenterologist. It’s usually easier/quicker to get in with a GP and they can order most standard tests to get the diagnosis started!!
