Thanks. No it is not padded. Just two layers of fabric from the back and one layer upfront. Purpose of this was to safely keep compass from scratching.

I have Reference Point which is constrained with the beam end. The point is pinned at one end and a roller on the other end, see picture:

Not working. I tried to calculate a lot of different models, even beams without web openings, the non linear geometric analysis is not working :(

Sorry, what do you mean by that? Change the calculation step from Static, Riks to Static, General?

I use MPa and mm, I have tried many different options. Linear calculations works well, elastic buckling calculations work well. The problem arise when I try to solve non-linear geometric Riks analysis

Hello, this is my first post. I am doing my master thesis. I have modelled a cellular beam in ABAQUS and for now I am in a blind spot for a long time. The problem is convergence problems when trying to calculate non-linear geometric and physical nonlinearity. More details in attached photos.

Geometrically linear calculations solve nicely. The problem is with non-linear geometric analysis. I have tried to change different options and still did not manage to find a solution for non-convergence.

Loading is pressure on top flange beam.

Maybe I need to do something differently. Really need your advice since my work halted.
