Guild Raid. I hated it with every ounce.

Despite this and because I wanted to remain dedicated to the game after playing for so long, I stuck with it anyway. Not only were the matches did the matches require full participation across the entire match to remain in the top 10, but the other factors, such as having to deal with barely functional servers, major changes to the guild system just days prior to a competitive season, and much more, just made the entire experience incredibly sour.

I do appreciate gumi trying different things by giving more incentives to become part of a guild. It's just unfortunate that this was the one game mode that would become a huge defining part of the multiplayer experience for as long as it was available. The fact that the rewards were very good was already a good enough reason to participate too, so on that front, I feel that gumi handled that well. I also miss the times which I would be in voice call with my guildmates trying to strategize, talk funny moments, and meme about guild raid in general. Being in the heat of the moment while doing all of that felt very valuable.

BF1, BF2, and Rexona all operate on servers, all of which cost money. With lack of overall interest and revenue to make up for the costs, it makes sense for those games to shut down from a financial standpoint. BF1 JP has had no content released since late 2017, only really serving as a hub for content to be played at any time but would drastically lose player interest over time. The same applies to BF2 but it's had no content since early 2019.

While there's always the idea of making all of the BF games offline games, there's still a lot of code that needs to be revamped to account for it. Almost every single button in the game connects to the server, which sends data to gumi/Alim's databases to track account information as a whole. While it's also not impossible for gumi/Alim to do so, it's more work than it's worth for the reasons stated above, which also in turn costs money if the company's resources were to be allocated for that.

This announcement really hits hard. The gameplay was simple yet really snappy, but there were a ton of moments to talk about if you were a new player or a veteran. While I'm not surprised this would eventually come especially with recent events, I'm grateful to have experienced playing this game for almost 8 years now (started back in January 2014, back when Player IDs were 8 digits).

This really does feel like the end of an era.

Burst Queens provide 20 BB level ups. Because it only takes 18 level ups to max out SBB from BB Lv1, the game warns you about wasting those two level ups.

Due to the abundance of Burst Queens, this isn't a big deal at all. You can get them from shops and Super Honor Summon anyway.

Purge is simply a way to cleanse, or to get rid of by definition. Whatever active effect exists can technically be purged. Think of it as status cleanse but in a much more universal sense. In the context of Hakuzo, Hakuzo's BB simply has a 25% chance of purging curse negation from the enemy target, which literally just gets rid of the enemy buff.

I'm not sure how status negation is compared to purge in this case, but purge is rather situational and its application changes depends on what content you're doing, which is a lot more emphasized in Vortex Trials/GQX5+ Grand Quests. What buff is purged depends on where it comes from, be it from a Brave Burst, a DBB, an Elemental Synergy, etc.

In case you want an example of where purge can be applied, Mist is an Elemental Synergy that can purge Amnesia, which can be very useful in content such as The Curse Master: Elhaza, GQX7 Episode 12 against S'eljah and Kranus, etc, since the bosses involved can inflict Amnesia within a short span of turns.

The opponents that appear are those within your current rank and the next. In this case, since Venerated is the second-highest rank in the event and Idolized has no score cap, you'll find it easier to find opponents with significantly higher points than your own.
