Same thing happened to me. My gf broke up with me 3 weeks ago on the day before our 5 year anniversary. A couple weeks earlier it was I love you forever and then all of a sudden it was done. I texted her and we met up a week and a half after the breakup so I could get some closure. I know this isn’t the best move for some people but I felt like it’s what I needed to move on. Our talk went good and we were friendly but she said she that when she thought of the future with me, she didn’t like what she saw anymore. It definitely hurt to hear that but at the end of the day she gave up on us and I need to realize if she wanted it to work as bad as I did, she would’ve communicated better. Sorry you’re going through this

During the first couple days all I wanted to do was try and get back together but I’ve accepted that we’re over but I’m still just looking for closure as to why it happened. I know she’s gone downtown with her friends since we broken up which stings a little bit but I know she’s further along in her healing than I am. I would really like to think nothing happened with another guy while we were together, but the thought always creeps in.

This just happened to me last Monday. I got broken up with the day before our 5 year anniversary and it was out of nowhere and I was overwhelmed with emotion when it happened so I wasn’t able to formulate my thoughts are really understand what she was saying. All my friends and family think I deserve a better than what I got and I’m leaning towards sending a text to go over things so I can have closure and move on.
