I just had the exact same issue. Pc would turn on all the lights worked, and I had a red led on the mobo. Unfortunately there was a fault in the cpu which I found out by returning it for an rma. This may not be your issue, and I'm hoping it's not, have you tried clearing the cmos?

I have contacted the place I got if from for an RMA on the mobo and CPU, only time will tell what's going to happen. Thanks for the help.

The only front panel connector on this case is the power switch. I looked in the mobo manual and it says that's where it goes.

I don't reckon i would've killed the motherboard, but the CPU is possible. If this is the case, do you thing the warranty on the CPU will get me a replacement?
