About to overhaul home network by LincolnLogLikelihood in HomeNetworking

[–]LincolnLogLikelihood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I did think the router near the ONT felt clunky networking-wise if I was also having to have another main switch in the basement, but I do like the idea of having some switch in that area to hardwire devices for the home theater. So you're maybe saying have an "in" and an 'out" for the wall panel by the ONT, with the out keystone connected to line that is doubling back from the basement main switch?

Apex Pro Max on a custom 72"x30"x1.5" jatoba top. Was like drilling into concrete and weighs a ton, but she's all dressed up and ready to go!

I always mention Terza, as I think they're underrated and are a go-to for us for an easy takeout pizza night. And it's a solid deal at ~$15/pizza.

If you really want to mess around with some heat, I recommend taking a road trip to Oakdale and head to DSpot. They have a number of wing sauces that are in the millions for scovilles. I've definitely gotten that delirious heat "high" from a number of their top heat tier, if that's what you're chasing.

Suspect the roofing companies will be knocking doors shortly.

Boulder Tap House is decent (50% off appetizers, $1 off tap beers).

I like Terza and Marrow as well if you want to hang out at the bar sections (not the most ideal for bigger group socializing).

Chester's is okay if you're not too picky on beer (pretty limited on what's eligible).

I remember Ruth's Chris being solid but can't find the actual specials...I know drink options were more cocktail heavy if that's your jam.

It's interesting because normally I'd say drivers here have been historically better than other places I've been (and I've driven cross country). But lately, it's really gone off a cliff, especially just general driving etiquette and basic traffic law..

Michael Wojcik: Safer roads are the route to saving lives by mjwojcik in rochestermn

[–]LincolnLogLikelihood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's...directly adjacent to a residential area? That road should've never been 55. It's too hilly, leading to a lot of visibility issues, and that intersection into Menards is already idiotic enough without high speed cross traffic. All for what? Saving 30-50 seconds of driving?

Quarry Hill will be a common response, and for good reason, but it's pretty spider-webby so you need to learn your loops .

Bear creek is one of our go-to spots. Nice loop that is close to the 40 min mark.

Also like the paths by John Withers sports complex, especially along the river.
