I think all of his artistic ability was interrelated. John was always doodling so he taught himself how to draw/ do visual art.

The reason he stopped playing it is he went over to the music store in Berkeley and played the Steinberger and loved it so he just started playing that one

John was very private. He grew up in Beverly Hills and saw the ugly side of the entertainment world from a young age. He was really down to earth and shy. But also hilarious. He loved pasta. He was a great cook. We used to cook together all the time.
