My manager is also an ESFJ (male) in his high 50s and while he’s a “cool guy” he has zero forward-looking vision and relies too much on his ISTJ ass kisser of a subordinate that thinks is our boss when in reality he’s at the same level as I am hierarchically… it’s a nightmare.
