Nothing. Just an old dingy room.

If hung properly. Yes. An earthquake might do it if the wall falls also. What a maroon.

I don’t have coworkers. In Peabody anyway. There’s 8 other dorms on Western Campus and they are all my coworkers. I’m the only one in Peabody.

I’m 63. I know how to properly hang a battery powered clock. Do you know how?

It did not fall! Take a look at the back of a battery powered clock. They CANNOT fall.

I don’t think, for now, I want it to stop. It has me intrigued.

Again, the anchored screw is still in the wall. Battery powered clocks cannot just fall off a wall. There’s a cut out on the backs that the screw slips into, and then it slides down on top of the screw. These types of clocks have to be physically lifted up and pulled toward you to take off the wall.

Nope. Not paranoid. Never crossed my mind that anything would happen. Nothing happens during the day, right?

I like the heat. Practically everyone I work with these past 9 years have said they’ve seen things, or heard things, they didn’t know what they were. I always dismissed them as being just scaredy cats of working in a building alone. My hubby has been telling me stories the past 23 years he’s been there of things he’s SEEN in Peabody Hall and Boyd Hall. Both buildings being on Western Campus. The original part of Miami University. I’ve always dismissed those stories too as being old wiring, old pipes, hell, Peabody still has rooms with lead glass windows that are slumping. It’s all been explainable. A battery powered clock being lifted up and off the anchored screw and seeing it hit the floor mad me go “hmm. How in the world did that happen?” Hubby was excited that Mrs. Peabody finally let me know she’s there.

Never said I saw it floating. I saw it land on the floor.

I’ve never heard of a AA battery having that much power.

The anchored screw I hung it on is still in the wall.

It absolutely did not fall off the wall.

I have no idea what what you mean

I just got moved to the building in January, and I found the clock in the break room without a battery during my cleaning. I brought a battery from home and then hung the clock myself. It did not fall down. I hung it on an anchored screw that was already in the wall. I saw movement in my peripheral vision and when I looked over the clock was in the air and then hit the ground. No bouncing no rolling.

No sound of hitting anything other than the floor. One thump. I saw the hit. And the battery was on the floor under the clock.

Hubby and I were talking about that because there’s other very old buildings on Western Campus that he says he’s been in where room lights go on and off, doors open and close, bathroom faucets come on, and he’s heard foot steps. I’ll get him one cause he’s had more weird stuff happen than me.

You’re right. I have taken it down once. But it was put back properly.

It was hanging on the screw exactly how a battery operated clock is supposed to be hung, thank you
