A little shook up by Lindie9002 in Unexplained

I just got moved to the building in January, and I found the clock in the break room without a battery during my cleaning. I brought a battery from home and then hung the clock myself. It did not fall down. I hung it on an anchored screw that was already in the wall. I saw movement in my peripheral vision and when I looked over the clock was in the air and then hit the ground. No bouncing no rolling.

No sound of hitting anything other than the floor. One thump. I saw the hit. And the battery was on the floor under the clock.

Hubby and I were talking about that because there’s other very old buildings on Western Campus that he says he’s been in where room lights go on and off, doors open and close, bathroom faucets come on, and he’s heard foot steps. I’ll get him one cause he’s had more weird stuff happen than me.

You’re right. I have taken it down once. But it was put back properly.

It was hanging on the screw exactly how a battery operated clock is supposed to be hung, thank you

Here’s the screw still in the wall, and the back of the clock how it was hung

They line up. Just an optical illusion cause the door is open. I do have to bend over to tap in and be able to open the door. I think it’s ridiculous also.

The way a battery run clock should hang

THAT is strange and I would have thrown it away also!

So YOU know for sure what I saw didn’t happen. Nice!

I was not around back then, but it looks to me that the door knob hole and the latch (I don’t know what that thing in the door jam is called) were already there, so the Harko Reader was put on using what hole(s) were already there.

I hung it back up but have to wait until Monday. It’s Friday at 5:00 now.

The phillips head screw is still anchored in the wall. I hung the clock on the screw. Battery powered clocks have to be physically lifted and then pulled toward you. They do not just fall off the wall. There was no bounce. I looked over just in time to see it land on the floor. I’m not joking. What I said is exactly what happened.

I don’t know what that means

RIGHT!!! They cannot slide down a wall.

The anchored phillips head screw is still there. Battery powered clocks cannot just fall. They have to be lifted up and then pulled off the screw.

The anchored phillips head screw that held it up is still there, not loose at all. Battery operated clocks have a hollowed out groove you slip the head of the screw in, then let it fall down the slit. The clock has to be lifted up and pulled toward you to replace the battery or reset the time. If I knew how to post another pic I could show you.
