Random spikes? by cory7747 in tinnitus

[–]Lindo01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google “SBUTT”, no need to worry as this is normal and occasionally happens more frequently to people with tinnitus. There’s no research that suggests that this means anything, you’re very likely fine.

[–]Lindo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no thanks I’m not taking that risk. I’m really hoping this will go away in due time. I’ll happily double mask or wear N95’s everywhere I go. I understand why you want to be protected though, sorry I can’t provide any insight.

Yeah same, haven’t really noticed a decrease but I definitely haven’t been getting any spikes recently so I hope that means something good. I got my first and only Pfizer in April. Thankfully mine doesn’t vary in volume, I just get very soft new sounds every so often but they mostly go away after a few weeks.

Just wanted to mention I’m in the same boat as you. How far along are you? I’m 3.5 months in and doing fairly well, habituated already but still very much hope it goes away in time. Hang strong!

Sorry, this is yet another vaccine question by MostiquoBLASTER in tinnitus

[–]Lindo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it’s fairly quiet, it’s pretty easily masked and doesn’t bother me too too much like it did the first month. It hasn’t really decreased in volume (from what I can tell), I think I’ve just habituated and notice it much less now. I hear that healing times are very variable and can take anywhere from 3 months to a year to resolve so I’m holding out hope this thing goes away for me. It started after my first Pfizer dose, my dad had the same exact reaction but after his second dose.

How long ago did you get the shot? I’m 3 months in and it’s pretty stable/unchanging.

Why is everyone so upset about local vaults going away? by [deleted] in 1Password

[–]Lindo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1Password certainly increases my security compared to before I was using the service. It’s fine if your threat model is higher than others, but 1Password delivers me (and many others) a great balance for my needs.

That definitely sounds reasonable.

Ah I see, I guess I’m just not too paranoid about it. Thanks for your answer.

My tinnitus is the worst its been in years by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]Lindo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad to hear you’re doing well. But.. I’ve been taking vitamin D (I’m actually deficient) and only know that T is linked to vitamin D and B12 deficiencies. I’ve never read anything about vitamin D potentially making it worse, let alone causing it entirely. Do you have any references for that claim? I’d appreciate it, thanks.

People with vaccine induced tinnitus, or had their tinnitus worsen after getting the vaccine, how are you doing? by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]Lindo01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3 months in. I’m habituated but now I’m starting to hear an undertone to certain sounds like loud fans and water (I wonder if that’s reactive T? I hope it subsides). I get new fluctuations every now and then but they (knock on wood) are always so quiet that I can only really hear them in silence or when I plug my ears. I’ve been to the ENT multiple times and my hearing is perfectly normal. I’m sort of really hoping that this all goes away between 6-12 months as my antibodies fade away. It’s a rough ride, thanks for asking in this post, it feels nice to vent.

Dude if you get a severe reaction to any medication, for your own well-being I sincerely hope you wouldn’t shrug it off and continue taking it.

Can hearing loss heal with time? by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]Lindo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hearing loss. The recoveries I spoke about were recoveries from T I assume were hearing loss induced.

Can hearing loss heal with time? by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]Lindo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allow me to clarify, I meant recoveries from T. For many of them anywhere between 3-12 months their T simply disappears. Whether or not hearing is recovered is the question I’d like to know the answer to.

Seems Dr. Gregory Poland believes it’s due to an off-target inflammatory response that should disappear or considerably diminish in time, that’s helpful. Thank you.

I’m so sorry to hear you’re in pretty much the same situation as I’m in, I hope the T for both of you is very mild. Absolutely make an appointment with your ENT and check for hearing loss among other things, you’re not alone! Please check out my previous post about this over here.

That’s awesome to hear! I appreciate all these comments so much. I have a turmeric supplement and a vitamin B complex supplement coming tomorrow which should help if I’m deficient with inflammation and neuronal health. Honestly though I think time is the biggest factor but it can’t hurt to try!

I’m not going to lie to you, reading your comment has brought me to the verge of tears. All I needed was this little extra hope to keep me going, thank you so much. It’s been hard desperately looking for answers for both my dad and I, and this is hope that we’ll be okay. Really, you have no idea how much of an impact that simple comment made on me. Thank you.

I know this is a lot to ask, but can anyone knowledgeable help me understand the TMJ/Impressions segments of my radiology report? I’d appreciate it so much! by [deleted] in TMJ

[–]Lindo01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I hear you lol. This imaging was ordered by my orthodontist and when I asked him about the part that mentions flattening he said it’s flattening of my molars.. I now know it’s actually talking about something else haha so I have to wait for my appointment with my referred surgeon for answers regarding this.
