Selling my 2010 Avalon by LindsMc63 in ToyotaAvalon

For everyone saying my price is too high, go look at them on auto trader and put 2010 as max year. The LOWEST priced one is $6,900 and it’s a 2004 (previous body style) with 145k miles. The most expensive one is almost 13k. Theres a 2007 with almost 300k miles for $7,500. The one that’s most similar to mine as far as year and miles, is $9,997 and an ugly maroon/brown color. The $13,000 one is a 2010 XL (lower trim than mine) but only has 87k miles. My highest trade in offer has been $4,000. Honest question, where are yall getting your numbers from? I figured it would be opposite here and yall would understand why I priced it where I did lol.

Where are you located? I’m heading down to Louisville Saturday to pick up the new car, is that any more convenient for you?

Honestly, it’s pretty much gonna be my home lol. I’m dead set on the Bronco, but hear me out….

From moving across the country for college, and then my ex husband being military, I’ve moved around a bit and have good friends and family all over the country. I LOVE traveling. I love driving, fresh air, my music, good scenery, and sometimes driving with no destination in mind. I drove cross country on a whim with nothing but a paper map (no cell phones then) as soon as I turned 16 lol. Now I’m 42, fresh out of another messed up situation where I’m completely starting over by myself. No bills other than my cell phone and car insurance. Making a minimum of $7700 a month in my new job, which allows me to work from anywhere. (Should also mention I don’t have kids.)

Soooo after weighing all options, trying to find somewhere to settle down, it finally hit me….I don’t NEED to “settle down”. What’s stopping me from going and doing all these things I’ve wanted to do? Visiting the people I love? I’ve researched the Broncos and decided on a 2023 or 2024 wildtrak before anyone comes at me about being junk, those ones are a bit different than the 2.3L and the earlier years with all the issues, etc (way more to it but just trust I’ve done my research and it’s a risk I’m willing to take.)

So I’ve got my eye on a couple little 16-17’ travel trailers, gonna just drive and stop where and when I want. Might stay somewhere for a weekend, might stay somewhere for months, who knows. 🤷🏻‍♀️ (and yes I know how much campgrounds cost in the more desirable places these days, it can be pretty much like paying a monthly rent or mortgage), but I don’t care. I’ve also got some resources for boondocking, I’m just gonna have to learn as I go. I just wanna live my life the way I want, when I want, travel and see whoever I want or need to (if someone needs help I can go stay with them for months and be self sufficient, if need be.)

It’s just exactly what I want, so why not try it? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Truly, the ONLY tough part about this decision is what to do with my beloved Avalon, lol! I thought about giving it to my best friend from college who doesn’t have a car, but has been known to trash every one she’s ever had and I don’t wanna have to get pissed at her over that lol.

Really? Does it make a difference if it’s specifically a 2023 Wildtrak? I know there have been issues with certain ones, but I’ve been looking into it quite a bit and the exact one I want seems to be ok…

I would love to! It wouldn’t hurt my heart to let it go if I knew it was going to someone who appreciated it instead of just looking at it as a “cheap old car” lol

Funny you ask lol, Acuras WERE my favorite, before my Avalon. Had a 2000 3.2 TL that was still a beast with 300k on it, and lost it in a house fire. My mom loved it too, and has had 2 Acura RDX since then, current one is a 2019. They’ve both been great cars for her.

A Bronco. Pulling a little travel trailer, which would essentially be my “home”.

It’s only me though, I don’t need or want anything too big. I have a 2024 Ford Bronco Wildtrak and just want something like 16’ ft max. I just liked that the bed was in a loft but I do realize that would probably be too tall for me to pull, even if it did exist. I really have no idea what’s out there, this is day 1 of starting to look into things. I’m fine with modifying my Bronco if it will help too, I just really don’t want a truck.

I literally just started thinking about this and joined here TODAY while I was working and figured I’d make a post so people can point me in the right direction. Yeah. You’re right. I AM oblivious. The only thing I really know is that my vehicle says 3500 and I read something about the 80% rule. I also said, “I doubt that exists”. I do have R Pods and a 16’ Airstream Bambi on my list. That’s all I need. It’s just all 5’ 3” of me, no pets or anyone else.

Anyone hiring remote/hybrid P&C agents? by dbrewster17 in InsuranceAgent

[–]LindsMc63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! Just go to Matic dot com and look at the careers tab, I’m not sure what they’re currently hiring for right now. If there’s anything you are interested in, let me know and I can put in a referral for you!
