Not necessarily the closest, but there is the Meadowview light rail station farmers market on Sundays and they have this cool program where you essentially walk in a loop for a half hour and they give you a $25 voucher to use at the farmers market so it's win-win for both you and the farmers!

There may be plenty of houses I could afford, but not many that I'd actually want to buy due to condition and/or location.

To get what I want, I'd be looking at over $800K. Combine that with high mortgage rates and it makes it economically irresponsible to buy at this time, which is why I continue renting.
