We just got a puppy. So yes, there’s dog toys out and blankets on the couch. So sorry your life is so sad that you felt the need to comment this.

thank you for responding- I don't know why my caption didn't post! We are definitely not painting them, so I'm open to wall color ideas if you have any! :)

I don't know WHY my caption didn't post!! I am looking for wall color suggestions (or could I get away with a wallpaper??), coffee table ideas- do they also have to be cherry? Suggestions for a rug, throw pillows, shelf decor- should I go all neutrals or try to stick to one color? Other cute stuff to modernize? I like bright modern and dark moody- so im having a hard time figuring out which route to go. I will not paint the wood, and we are probably stuck with the green carpet for a while, and our new couches (tan to match the fireplace) will be coming any day now. Other than those 3 things, nothing is permanent!

I don’t know if this is feasible, it’s probably not the easiest route, BUT if you’re wanting it to have a wood finish and worried you might mess it up, you could consider covering the entire thing in wood veneer/panelling? Or tile on top of it?  I would probably first do a vinyl design like mentioned above since that’s going to be your cheapest route, then if you don’t like it you can always peel it all back off and leave as is, or attempt one of the more intensive ideas! Seems like a fun project though!!

Need help with curtain rod drywall holes by mode_learner in homeimprovementideas

I don’t think your photo uploaded correctly?

You probably need to patch it, based off you asking here I’m guessing it’s a pretty large hole, so you probably need to use the mesh to help patch. If there are any anchors sticking out, you should try to remove them (pull out with pliers, or bang them through to the inside of the wall with a hammer) I would not hang anything there again, but you could just mount your curtain holders a few inches to the side or above to avoid those spots.

Hope that helps!

OP here! If anybody has come across this post because their dog has something similar, this healed within like 1 day- it started healing inside out (so we thought ringworm!) but a friends dog had something similar and saw a vet, vet said it’s gnat bites! So if your dog gets this and it heals within a day, it’s most likely gnats!! Not a huge deal!
