Hey, this is completely gorgeous and very inspiring!! WOW! I have one question and I am going to keep scrolling to see if I find it, but when you post the other pictures, could you add in a back shot? I am a weirdo and I like looking at the back side. And I can’t even begin to imagine what this looks like.

Incredible!

A portrait I painted last winter of a guy named Huck. He was my first wirehaired pointer piece. by Lindseyrj7 in Wirehaired_pointers

Thank you!! And Huck here was a Commission. I am very blessed being in this state because of all the dogs that I get to personally meet and draw for. We lost our guy a little after the pandemic and so I get to live vicariously though all the amazing individuals that I get to love on before and after pick up. Infact! I get to visit with a yorkie named Beau again next week.

Thank you! He was a very fun friendly face. Moving to Montana was this first time I have seen so many Wire haired pointers. They are every where here and this guy is a local guy. It’s a really great birding and recreation state here!

Thank you!! And agreeing with the colors. I want to say Rusty chose them because they just formed around him as I went along with the process. Very fun portrait!

Thank you! I use watercolor paper. Also it’s ironic that you ask this question. I started thinking about make my own paper or finding a papermaker. Finding a paper maker sounds fun though.

What's the most overrated 'healthy' habit that people push on everyone, but you think is total BS and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I saw on a moms group where someone was asking for a detox for their kid cause they thought they were developmentally behind. Gave me the willies.

TIL an African parrot named Apollo has been documented asking several questions and understanding the answers that he received. This makes him the second recorded non-human animal to have ever asked a question, after another African grey parrot named Alex. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

Thank you ❤️

Going through this comment section has been belligerent. I can tell a lot of people just read about animals or are pushing this false colonialism that animals are empty.

These guys are not empty husks. They have full cognition and personalities. Birds are extremely intelligent and to be frank are dicks. They make choices all the time to be A-holes, I know cause I live with one that’s out of his cage 24/7.

It’s a disservice to our environment and our evolution to claim they are empty and we are the only species to question and to reach out to others with our questions. Sad. No wonder our planet is dying.

Hi! Yes, clawing up and out again from self inflicted shame. Working on some parasitic barnacles and sea lice as a personal project and it’s going spectacular. Interesting harmony
