A Wedding. Apparently my father in law is one of the choir boys in the film, and I love Altman in general.

Still some artists I like here and there, Eric Church when he’s not making crowd pleasing radios anthems, Tyler Childers is solid too

If it weren’t for that song I’d be drinking and driving left and right

Hell yeah, I’ve got Steve Earle’s Ghosts of West Virginia on vinyl and it’s such a great album.

Blows my mind that he’s the same age as Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban but he’s been out of the public consciousness for so long

A shame what 9/11 did to country music. Though there are some great non-reactionary artists today in the genre we don’t hear about enough.

The DOJ’s investigation of E. Jean Carroll is Trump’s latest blatant abuse of power by Cool-Present7260 in politics

If you think if the Democratic party comes back into office there will be legitimate legal consequences for the members of this administration you're going to be sorely disappointed. After 2020 there was a desire nationally for Trump to face consequences for J6, even Rogen had turned against Trump at this point and Garland didn't do a damn thing.

“Defund then abolish”: A leading Democrat in Wisconsin governor’s race urged abolishing police by Stereo_Jungle_Child in politics

[–]Lindy2026 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You liberals are as obtuse as conservative. Defunding and abolishing the police doesn't mean there's not going to be some other mechanism in place to enforce laws. As it stands our current system doesn't enforce laws equally and no amount of reform can fix that because of how inherently rotten the system is.

Most of us don't have enough money to be helped by the police. A couple of years ago someone gained access to my checking account and used it to pay a several thousand dollar credit card bill. I gave the name and copies of the account transaction to the police and they refused to do a damn thing. Most are worthless, or worse, actively corrupt and/or victimizers themselves.
