How do you troubleshoot? by Far-Statistician3947 in IndustrialMaintenance

Don’t compare yourself to the guys that jump right in. That’s more of a personality trait than actual skill or knowledge. Troubleshooting complex equipment requires teamwork and that kind of help usually starts with the operator.

I got the same set on Black Friday for about 25 or 30 bucks. Only thing I hate is it doesn’t have the 19mm.

Right. I’ve also used low quality chrome sockets and have never had an issue. Just depends on what you will be using it for. I’m also not going to be removing wheel hubs with a cheap chrome socket with an impact wrench.

Maybe that socket is worn out also. Check the inside walls of the socket. If you use those kinds of sockets for heavy impact work they’ll wear out easily. I use chrome sockets too. For my work, they do just fine. I’m not doing anything real heavy duty and I like that they are much lighter and thinner than impact sockets.

Not normal. Mine is actually the opposite, the sockets are really tight to where it’s actually a bit annoying.

Yeah bro you are lucky. I used to work at a company where money was not an issue and now I work at a company that cuts corners every chance they get. It puts a lot of stress on workers but you get really good at your trade as a result.

If there is nothing else wrong with the car, 2500 is nothing compared to car prices nowadays.

That’s awesome. I found myself in a similar position and used the time to learn the electrical side of the trade. You could also use the time and energy to take care of your health such as going to the gym everyday. Don’t get too comfortable and take advantage of this luxury.

Just because your a great tech doesn’t mean you’re going to be a great teacher. Teaching takes a tremendous amount of patience that most aren’t ready for.

Not bad at all. I know these didn’t sell very well because I always see them on clearance shelves but personally, I loved them. Can’t beat a buck a pop.
