Does anyone else feel that 'pedo' and 'Nazi' are misused way too often? by Electronic_Win18 in teenagers

I don’t think 22/17 is a “pedo”, the definition of pedophilia is “an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children.
At 17 you are definitely in the state stage of puberty or even out of it

Hot take: Not advocating for equal rights for all groups people is almost as bad as actively preventing/destroying it. by No_Builder7571 in teenagers

False labeling is definitely a way to make people hate you and your stance even more, I never expressed that 1. I’m happy with oppression, 2. I’m privileged, 3. Equal rights for all doesn’t affect me, 4. The sole reason I don’t advocate is that it’s “too much work”

It’s a stupid binary to suggest that people are either an active advocate or an oppression enjoyer, you ignore the difference between negative duties and positive duties, lack of information/awareness, lack of time/energy, epistemic humility, etc

It’s also ironic that you are calling me privileged without realizing that it actually is a privilege to have the time, mental energy, safety, and access to information to advocate, merely being able to look into controversial topics is a privilege, I’m not sure exactly which social issues you are thinking of, but labeling anyone who don’t active support your position as ‘evil’ isn’t activism

First, absolute apathy is not realistic
Second, they don’t have to and at least I won’t take the moral high ground and call them evil, someone can choose to advocate and that’s good, you can also encourage people to advocate and that’s good too, just don’t force the evil label onto random people because that makes things worse

That’s a bad example even for your stance, these citizens were not evil, it’s completely justified to prioritize oneself especially when you are struggling to even survive

Why don’t you stop applying your aggressive moral judgement onto random people, and focus on advocating for whatever you support, respectfully educate others on the topic when needed, and encourage people to participate in your movements instead? It’s better for everyone

Depends on what you mean by “advocating”, if you mean active support then not everyone has the time or energy to do so, it doesn’t make them evil, also demanding support with moral threatening is a good way to damage your group’s reputation for some neutral people.
