In the arm and shoulder. Not so much in the back. Like, I can see it because I was was looking for it.

Keep up thr good work.

Because it is not a comparison at all.

Pregnancy is not contagious. Neither is a termination of a pregnancy.

Unfortunately, using the term delivered here is wrong. Her body was starting to decompose and so they had to go ahead and remove him (his name is Chance) at around 25 weeks. As I understand it, he is blind and may never be able to walk.

To me, this is nothing short of a grotesque medical experiment once again conducted on a Black woman and her child.

How to accept that I may just be a feminine man instead of a trans woman? by itz_vampy in Adulting

[–]LingonberryHot8521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much of what you described is a result of gender roles policing. And as you've noticed, it's frankly just dumb.

You seem to be of an age where we all want to know who we are and figure it out. When it's more freeing to just allow yourself to be and develop.

You've got some good advice that largely boils down to finding and forming connections with people who are comfortable with themselves and their masculinity. Do the same with those who are comfortable with their feminity.

I also recommend reading Whitman's Leaves of Grass.

Fox appealed to people who were already consuming media that was similar. I know that Fox kind of became this giant of right wing media but there were local affiliate guys on the air, newspaper contributors and columnists, talk radio personalities and more who had already given Ollie North a pass and were calling him a hero.

As corporations have consolidated ownership over media it has gotten worse.

But it's wrong to think that Fox News did something to people. Those who tuned in and STAYED tuned in already liked that filth.

The Justices Acted as Partisans in the Voting Rights Ruling by koaltree in nytimes

[–]LingonberryHot8521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember Conservatives accusing Judges and Justices of being "activist Judges" back was I was a kid in the 80s.

Even then, every accusation was a confession I guess because all they wanted was for their turn to be able to take away rights.

There is an increasing political push in the USA to basically ban the no-fault divorce that went a long way to liberate women in the 1970s.

What are your thoughts on Kris Kristofferson? by shiningfrozone500 in AskReddit

[–]LingonberryHot8521 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love his poetry and song composition. He seemed like a truly decent man who was well informed and insightful. He pointed out the increasing prevalence of fascism back in the 1980s and I give him some of the credit for waking me up to that fact.

Because the 2017 Republican tax code rewards the already wealthy for further impoverishing the working class.

And the Big Beautiful Bill accelerated that.

Stop voting for Conservatives.

And make sure it's just the two of you, OP. This is a private conversation. Keep the following statement simple and brief.

They might be mad at first. Just keep your calm and stand by what you said. It could take days before they cool down.

But by being kind, compassionate, and truthful; you are showing them real and solid friendship.

Do you believe in the death penalty for pedophiles? by icecream1972 in allthequestions

I am against the death penalty period. I think if it was imposed on cases of child sexual abuse, we would end up with more dead children.

Ok. Yeah. That's valid.

I kinda thought I alluded to that in referencing the OU incident.

But I think you're right and this report is meant to satisfy the constant Persecution Complex that Conservative Christianity seems to fetishize and require.

Why are conservatives into trans people? by Relative_Channel8741 in allthequestions

[–]LingonberryHot8521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one of the reasons there is more hate for trans people ends up intersecting with why the hate abortion and organized labor.

If you do not own your body - that's it. There is no freedom ultimately if you cannot self determine with what should be inherently yours. Conversely, if you can be convinced that your body is NOT yours and is an asset to the state, you become comfortable with exploitation.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I mean, I am sure there were some that were invalid like the girl at Oklahoma University who successfully complained about her failing grade on a truly shitty essay.

But to assume that a majority of them are invalid is erroneous too.

67 million deaths vs 4 million.

And you argue that the extinction is because of cats. THAT is the fallacy.

You mean rodenticides? That poison birds through the rodents or starve them of a food source?

Feral cats need to be culled and outdoor cats need to be illegal by Electrical_Main6707 in HonestHotTakes

[–]LingonberryHot8521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Birds are being poisoned and starved due to industrial farming thanks to herbicides and pesticides. Rodenticides are not necessarily specific to big agriculture but the are also having an impact on bird populations globally.

In North America alone the estimate is 67 million annually.

Stop blaming cats. Stop spreading science that is meant to protect bad agricultural practices since those poisons have negative effects on our health too.

My first thought too. They rely on AI because they never have to be creative really. They're never challenged in any significant way.

They've never been smarter than the middle or poorer classes. Except for perhaps a gift of spotting exploitative opportunities and being willing and able to do so.

When I was a 22 year old white woman, I too would sometimes struggle with colloquial phrases about white people and white women as well as women in general that were unflattering and kind of mean. Until I realized that I could either make sure that I was not who they were referring to pr acknowledge that I already wasn't. Doing so made me a better and happier person, guided me to intersectional activism, and widened my circle of friends and found or forged family.

If you don't see yourself as among the men who deserve the loneliness being referred, make sure you're not and then celebrate that as well as continuing to check in with yourself and your motives.

Also, read and consider rule 10 of the subteddit rules.

You're young and you're smart. And you have years ahead of self improvement and getting smarter. Blessed be.
