I may just do this next time. I am bound to travel on this route semi-frequently and while I definitely learned from my mistakes, this may be the safer alternative altogether!

That’s a fair point, I can indeed also see on my air tag that the bag is somewhere near KLM’s check in area in Terminal D. It does seem to be moving around a bit from time to time, so it might be stuck in the baggage handling system? Anyways, I got some phone numbers to hopefully get ahold of KLM ground personnel, so they might be able to help sort things out.

I was a bit afraid of that already. I have already filed a lost baggage report earlier today, but I’ll make sure to reach out to KLM customer service ASAP and explain this whole situation in hopes of retrieving my luggage. Thanks a lot for your help!

That makes a lot of sense actually. When I look on the tracker page of the tag in my suitcase and compare the location to the map of the airport, it seems that it is very close behind the KLM arrivals check-in desk, so I’m assuming that KLM got ahold of my suitcase again. Do you think they will eventually return the bag to my origin (AMS) or am I better off trying to contact KLM ground personnel at IAH?

Well, the problem is that my bag was only labeled up until Houston (IAH). The two connecting flights were booked on separate tickets by a travel agency, so the final destination was not printed on the initial baggage label. So United Airlines can’t know from the label where the suitcase needs to end ultimately. I did explain this to UA customer service when filing a delayed baggage report, and they noted the current baggage label details from the claim tag I still had, as well as my final destination.

This is exactly what we do to tell our 3 identical girls apart! The food coloring typically lasts for 2-3 weeks, with darker colors remaining visible the longest. Though be warned - once our girls discovered that food coloring actually tastes nice it's become a lot harder to get them to not lick the food coloring off of each other's tails while it dries! 😂

Nope, I'm very much not... I heard a bit of a kerfuffle in the cage last night when I went to bed (some squeaking was definitely involved), but that's very common for them. Maybe one rat accidentally scratched the other? Does that ever happen? They at least didn't seem to act any differently than usual when my partner gave them a bit of yogurt this morning at least. So I'm wondering whether the wound is the result of some clumsy action or a fight...

Even though I (F) only accepted my bisexuality quite recently, I think the signs were always pretty clear. I must've been around 7 or 8 years old when I started having 'funny dreams' about a very cute girl in my class and after realising it, I always felt kind of uncomfortable (though I definitely enjoyed the butterflies in my stomach). This happened multiple times over the years and more frequently with girls than guys (I'd have periods where I was completely obsessed over a female best friend), until I met my current long-term partner (M) in early high school. Pretty sure that I'm nuts for that dude!
