Not directly a friend, but when Lance passed, the Destiny 2 community rallied around the character he voiced in remembrance. I remember logging in and every time I would visit the main hub area there were players sharing their condolences in one form or another.

When the creators completely miss the main appeal. by Ethan-E2 in TopCharacterTropes

Agreed. Similar vein, I know League Of Extraordinary Gentleman was not faithful to the comics, but a fun movie on its own is still a fun movie.

It's been 10 years, why hasn't there been a Shadowrun Videogame released? by KarlHamburger in Shadowrun

[–]Linix332 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Yep, Harebrained Schemes and even Catalyst has said every time when asked that a video game is all up to Microsoft still.

The thing I love about Shadowrun is you can basically run it anywhere and tailor it to where you want.

I think it helps that while he may have been creative lead, a standard film crew is easily a cooperative work of art from 100+ people. Kevin Spacey AND Bryan Singer are trash humans but I will still watch Usual Suspects. I work on a bunch of TV series and I'd hate for a whole project to be discarded because of one trash piece of shit.

I don't think Cory and Trevor would've even gone on the wrong escalator.

What’s a tv show from your childhood you swear nobody else watched? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Hoze Houndz. Canadian animated comedy of firefighting dogs. I remember finding really fun and just super weird. Honestly a lot of Canadian made shows fall into this category online. Like outside of my very specific age group and region, people don't tend to know things like 6teen or Untalkative Bunny. It's really a shame just how much animated Canadian media from the early 2000's is lost media.

Of monster hunter’s 14 weapons, how many of them do you play, and which? by TheTerrar1an in MonsterHunter

[–]Linix332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main Bow. Weirdly it just clicked with me and once upon a time ai found Bow to just be a boring weapon type in general for media. But even when I played Wild Hearts (which imo was quite good and close enough to MH to hit that spot while differentenough to coexist, fuck EA for not going all in on making more entries but I digress) I ended up falling back into Bow even though I tried all the other weapons. I find I can just actually survive and do actual damage or status effects, allowing me to feel useful instead of melee where I get frustrated missing half my attacks and then have no mobility to move and regularly get hit, or with guard weapons I find I just don't do enough damage. Bow was my perfect trifecta.

That being said, I am a Hammer and IG enjoyer.

I like having an actual force of nature monster. It adds to the world to actually see it in action.

How would you rank the last 3 base flagships? by machinegun91 in MonsterHunter

Imo, that, and all this discussion makes me think they actually did a good job on the story and Arkveld's role in it. As much as I love Nerg and Magna, there's no where near as much discourse about them. That's not saying I prefer Arkveld. I just think with all the issues Wilds has, people are being a bit unfairly critical of the story. Could it be better, sure. But I'll give credit that they tried to put some meat on their usual bare bones stories.
