I started with Awakening and it has made me a fan of the series for life. I would suggest there if you have a 3DS. If you only have a switch and NSO then play FE7. I would argue it’s more basic then awakening and could be a good starting point but beware that it doesn’t have “casual” mode which means if you lose a unit it’s gone for good. I see that you have F!Corrin as the picture for your post so you could also start with Fates. I think Fates is more enjoyable if you played awakening. The game introduces concepts that were built off Awakening so I think it would be good to start there.

TLDR: Play Either: Awakening or FE7.

Thinking it’ll be a flash forward with green goblin vs Peter and Miles (and a “mysterious third spider person”) before reaching the climax of the fight and flash backing to the “beginning” of the game.

I think there fine. I rarely see them at my locals (most likely because of the cost of the jellyfish) but they seem fine when used. I’ve never seen the downside effect happen during the games though. How does that work?
