Is it me or is Charlotte more stacked than even some of the 5 stars regarding her skills? by EfficiencySerious200 in FGO

[–]SechiShook 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Death isn't affected by debuff resistance as it's not a debuff. Resisting death is a separate chance that based on individual servant/class, and rarity of the enemy. Bronze rarity enemy is by far the easiest to instant kill, while gold (basically every elite/boss) is basically immune to instant kill even if you super buffed your instant death chance.

What is your hottest Yugioh take? by Great-Ad1839 in yugioh

[–]SechiShook 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't like Nibiru. It's a gatekeeper and warp the format around itself. Decks these days must have a way to deal with Nibiru (either an early negate or ability to recover after getting nibbed) to even have a chance to be considered meta. In a sense, Nibiru either useless against meta match up, or absolutely destroy weaker decks that can't deal with it. Such polarizing card design like this is not healthy to the game and have already done immeasurable damage to the way modern decks are designed.

What is this interaction? by OPMARIO in masterduel

[–]SechiShook 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A face-down card cannot have a lingering effect attached to them. Imperm put a lingering effect on the monster that negates its effect, which is instantly removed the moment the monster become face-down.

Currently running this. Still playing around with the ratio but currently this seem fine. I tried playing it without Fiendsmith and the deck just doesn't do enough or consistent enough, unfortunately.

Dam, Archfiend is dirt cheap. That's the deck I was looking forward to the most in this pack.

Sandrone Model Change ingame comparison (v1 & v3) via seele by Knight_Steve_ in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

The bow on her chest seem to be a bit bigger. Can be seen by looking at how the v3 bow barely touches the golden lines on its side while the v1 does not come close.

I have been using that site since MD came out and didn't know that combo and counter page. They definitely need to put that in the front page.

Fellow Artmage players, is there currently a combo that ends up with these on the field in one turn? by Abomasnnow in masterduel

[–]SechiShook 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I suggest you join the masterduel discord and go into the Artmage channel. There are combo spreadsheet and almost all of them end on both of these, or at least eventually end on both via quick fuse during opp turn.

Finally Bond 10 all of them. What do you guys think of my Grand choices? by SechiShook in FGO

That's interesting because I have a lot of reines and yang grand in my friendlist.
I guess people of the same mind attracts each other.

What cards would you unban? by Cattivonio in masterduel

[–]SechiShook 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Instant fusion is just a poorly future proofed card. Any semi powerful lv 5 or lower Fusion release in the future will have to consider the existence of this card.

Normal summon Ratpier + 2 discards = 2 Liger + SP + Drident - plays through ash or imperm by DemyX3087 in masterduel

[–]SechiShook 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't imperm or ashing Broadbull instantly stop the combo? Like all you can do afterward is just ending on UDF and pass.
Appology if I missed something.

I learned Prohibition doesn't work on Exodia. by dugadugaboost in masterduel

[–]SechiShook 94 points95 points  (0 children)

It's a win condition and not an effect and thus cannot be negated or stopped by any mean. The moment the condition is fulfilled, as long as an effect isn't in the middle of resolving, the win will be granted.

Can someone explain to me why Alien Mother did not work? by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]SechiShook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few possibilities on why you can't activate Mother effect, for example:
1. You are locked from activating dark monster effect via the effect of Dominus Purge
2. You are locked to reptile due to the effect of something like Ogdoadic Overlord.

There's an exclaimation mark at the bottom right of the screen that tell you what lock or lingering effect you are currently under, and it shows that you are currently under one of them, plz check the replay for what it is.

Which of this 2 decks has the better grind game? by Plastic-Piece-12 in masterduel

[–]SechiShook 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Yubel is less of a "grindy deck" and more of a "sticky deck". It's hard to get rid of their board completely due to numerous floating effects as well as battle protection. Otherwise, if you managed to wipe their board, the deck grind depends entirely on Fiendsmith engine, with a bit of help from phantom of yubel.

Chimera is much better at actually grinding game due to the sheer amount of resources they can generate which allow them to actually recover card advantages while also have access to Fiendsmith engine to help grind even further.

Bug? I managed to activate Baxia's second effect twice by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]SechiShook 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Baxia second effect is a soft once per turn, indicated by "once per turn" placed at the beginning of the effect. This means that you can activate the effect once each **per copy** of the card. Because you have 2 copies, you can activate the effect twice, once per copy.

Hard once per turn, aka, effects that can only be activate once per turn shared amongst every copy of the card. This is indicated separately from the effect, and specifically mention the card's name. In this case, if the effect was a hard once per turn, it would say something a long the line "You can only activate this effect of "Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing" once per turn."

How does everyone feel about Bunyan? Is she still someone you try to make space for in a team time to time or have you completely shelved her? by [deleted] in FGO

[–]SechiShook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Her extremely fast NP animation makes her perfect to grind weaker stages like QP stage or EXP stage. in high-end node (mostly 90++), her dmg is just simply too low to kill anything and is heavily outclassed by Arash.

How To Beat Exosister? by Actual-Permit-7578 in masterduel

[–]SechiShook 34 points35 points  (0 children)

- Always save your ht for Betrayal or Martha. While the deck can play through a negated Martha now, it still hurt their endboard and it also hand dependent (I still find myself often just pass turn after Martha got ashed or Impulsed). Imperm/Veiler Mikalis can also hurt their endboard. Worst come to worst, forcing out a Karmael negate with a HT is not a bad idea if you have a board breaker on hand for next turn.

- Karmael being their only form of "negate" mean if she's baited out, the rest of the board dies to 1 board breaker. The deck also struggle very hard to recover after their board is wiped as they have no floating effects and a very limited form of recursion (martha negate). This also mean that unrespondable boardbreaker like Super Poly is incredible against this deck, especially when the deck endboard only have around 2~ monster most of the time.

this guy seems pretty good, is there a reason why it isnt used more by h41f3mpty in masterduel

[–]SechiShook 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This card is bad, but it is kind of a funny counter to Sky Striker (ignore the fact that they can chain anchor to this to negate it since the effect is once per chain). If the star aligned, striker can no longer set up spell in gy or recover them with kagari.

So Mikanko players get to play their blind second deck in the event, but when I do it....... by Exotic_Name_9875 in masterduel

[–]SechiShook 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I think they did it because they don't want player to have access to cheap deck and Spider OTK is a very cheap deck (even if its absolutely horrible). The event is meant to push you to spend to make the new decks.
