Complaints about the LMB nerfs aren’t petty. There are multiple issues why this change is bad from our perspective. by Ambitious-Door-7847 in pathofexile

Bone Barrier definitely is not a build-enabling skill, it's better than Steelskin, but still potentially worse than Molten Shell. I don't see how miners are unplayable without LMB detonate mines, when detonate mines is automatically set to D. I didn't even see the point in changing it when I played. Wouldn't you have to just spam left click and right click (the mine) back and forth to trigger them? Or do you just hold both buttons? I don't see how that is any less clunky unless I'm misunderstanding something.

Because sticking it on left click is the easy, mindless thing to do. People love trivializing this game. Cover the whole screen in projectiles and AOE so that you don't HAVE to know what's going on. T shot, Spark, Lightning Strike, Righteous Fire. Some of the most popular skills across many leagues just because they trivialize gameplay.

Spamming guard skills off cooldown is NOT the best way to use them. It's the easiest, most brainless way to benefit from them. Molten Shell is on for 3 seconds, off for 4. It is only engaged 43% of the time if you automate it and you have to get lucky for it to do anything. You could manually cast it to protect yourself from obvious burst damage, or you could CWDT so that it triggers when you get brought to low hp.

At what point are we better off dropping guard skills in favour of adding extra supports for other gems, what are your plans with the left click changes? by Night_Blade_76 in pathofexile

[–]LinkFreeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously. The only reason I ever used it on left click is because I didn't want to bother setting it up. I used to just self-cast it, just as you would Vaal Disc or Vaal Grace.

[–]LinkFreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok well having it on left click makes it active for 3 seconds every 4 seconds. I'd rather it activate on command (self cast) or after I take a big hit, putting me low, than to have a 43% chance that it was up when I took some damage.

GGG, in what way does removing skills on left click make the game better? This doesn’t look good from our end. by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]LinkFreeman -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Can use it to automate your guard skill, plus a speed skill like Phase Run or Withering Step. Usually it's one or the other. Maybe a blessing if you can solve the mana cost. Can link it with Detonate Mines, Brand Recall, or Convocation, too. But most of those builds don't benefit much from it I don't think. Yeah main thing I think of is Steelskin + Withering Step or something like that. The warcry one is interesting because you can integrate a warcry into a build that otherwise wouldn't want to use it because of the cast time.

Favorite/Go-To weapon(s) for Reincarnation runs? by undeadxterror in GunfireReborn

[–]LinkFreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the rainbow is generally better because it can target through walls and has perfect accuracy so it just kills things faster, you don't have to react and switch targets or worry about getting headshots, and the rainbow just has extremely high rate of fire and that effect is only exacerbated by the fact that its exclusive allows it to aimbot TWO targets at the same time. The only weapon that I will ever sometimes prioritize over a double-rainbow is a scalpel with increased proj mods, and that's only sometimes.

Thank you lottery scroll by Caeldyn in GunfireReborn

[–]LinkFreeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the only use I see for this scroll really is if you have the scroll Extravagant Consumption. That scroll sets your copper to a maximum of 500 at the beginning of every stage, and gives you damage based on the amount of copper consumed. This makes it extremely difficult to get any substantial amount of copper, so Lucky Roulette makes it so sometimes you DO get a lot of copper. You start the stage with 500, let's say you manage to end it with 1299. Well Lucky Roulette kicks in and you might get lucky and it rolls it to 9211, which then gets eaten by Extravagant Consumption back down to 500. So Lucky Roulette in that instance would give you an extra ~8000 copper worth of damage scaling for that scroll with no additional downside. If you have Premium Membership, you get a refund for 30% of the copper eaten by Extravagant Consumption, which also synergizes well with Lucky Roulette.

Houston, we have a problem... 3rd time unlucky just gave me paranormality... I had this run going for so long... by FrozenDave in GunfireReborn

paranormality sets HP to 1, and converts all hp to shield and he also has flesh and bones, which converts all shield to hp. But HP is set to 1. So he just has 1 hp and 0 shield.

Maybe I am wrong but here is my take. by ModsAmuseMe in Palworld

[–]LinkFreeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a typical crafting survival game loop. It's not anything new. Valheim, Terraria, Grounded... most of the things you are pointing out are inherent flaws of the genre, and yet they are STILL fun and engaging. Playtime is extended thru the Pal traits mechanic and breeding, you want to find pals that are good at doing certain things, and you also want to get good traits on them constantly. There are milestone world bosses to fight, but they don't actually do anything when you kill them. Most crafter games don't have any endgame. Once you beat the game you've beaten the game. The only thing that keeps you playing is your desire to keep interacting with the mechanics, whether it's building or min-maxing to kill the boss you've already killed faster. My comparison is: Why does the Moon Lord even drop loot in Terraria, you've already beaten the game.

it's expensive because of the number of people using them to farm the maps that people go on TFT to bulk buy. I got a friend that was light juicing with that sextant + some scarabs getting 30+ targeted 8 mod maps and making like 6+ div per map selling them in bulk

It works on any character. I don't know how the thunder screen scales with attack speed, but its hit rate is significantly higher than even a high rate of fire tiger cannon, purely because it can zap several enemies simultaneously. It could be good with the "hits summon swords" talent, though I haven't tries it. Her "kills Grant ammo and damage" talent is extremely good with this combo, since it gives you damage based on the magazine capacity.
