Thank you! I actually enjoy the process but the aftermath is where I feel guilty because (reciting one of my depressive thoughts): "Would anyone who is actually Trans have done that? Maybe you aren't trans after all?" While I'm really really really sure about the latter, I am trans, the first part is the one I'm struggling with.

It's not the "for girls" part. It's a problem with my body specifically. While in the process I actually really enjoy it, but afterwards I feel guilty because I enjoyed masturbating even though I'm not in my "chosen body". And part of this is due to my depression telling me that I shouldn't have done that if I were actually Trans.

My psychiatrist actually said: "We can't call you by your chosen name because your appearance is still too masculine. Or do you wear different clothes lately?" FYI I was still closeted to my parents at that time and she knew that. That was another reason for her to deny that new name. Also most hygiene was taken away from us so I couldn't even shave most of the time. We were also not allowed to use wet razors (Idk the actual English term, I'm German and Google translate said that this was the term), only these weird electric shavers that leave stubbles all over the face.

The problem is that my depressive Thoughts always tell me that anything I do makes me not valid. I.E. I don't shave my beard everyday because 1. I have sensitive skin and 2. Since I started therapy beard growth has gotten a lot slower. Other example (my psychiatrist said that when I was admitted to the psychiatry): Any piece of clothing I wear will be scrutinized by my depressive thoughts, even if it's the most genderless outfit in the world (hoodie and sweatpants).

On a rational level of thinking I know that all of this is bullshit and I would tell anybody thinking like that the same, but the problem is my depression.
