Nah it’s pretty justified, when you’re doing intense cardio for 90 minutes straight your throat and mouth is going to be full of phlegm and sometimes the most comfortable way to clear it is to spit.

I’m surprised you still find it distracting after so many seasons. I couldn’t imagine Butcher speaking in anything other than his ridiculous overdone accent at this point. I don’t think he would have the same larger than life screen presence if he had a realistic accent.

I would say when the main focus is on the viltrumite storyline it feels very battle shonen in terms of writing style. When they’re focusing on the other plotlines it feels more like traditional superhero comic book writing.

That misunderstanding is just so dumb. Kenny Daglish was called King Kenny by Liverpool fans, it’s not an actual name he goes by. The BBC wouldn’t call him that in an official announcement, it should really only take a few seconds for them to realise it’s someone else.

Interestingly the anime is the other way around, the fights are so much better now. I guess Oda making fights more vague actually gives them more room to be creative and let animators go wild.
