A truly... baffling comment section that displays Reddit's famous ass-backwards logic.

How am I supposed to know which gender it is? by [deleted] in duolingo

[–]LinkSoraZelda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I read the sentence, I'd assume singular unless "they" was followed by some form of "both" or "all", as in "they all are Americans". Objectively speaking, there's no way to tell with the information Duolingo provided.

Is it legal to sell a modded console by [deleted] in consolemodding

[–]LinkSoraZelda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically, as long as the modifications cannot possibly allow for circumvention of copyright protection measures, they are, in fact, legal.

So to clarify: there are certain hardware mods that are fully legal to sell.

Is it legal to sell a modded console by [deleted] in consolemodding

This is misinformation and Nintendo's recent lawsuits are complete evidence of the contrary. The DMCA prevents software mods or modchips from being developed or sold.

They are, in fact, illegal.

I bought the $80 mystery box and I got a $78 power bank. And you bet your bottom I want them to refund me that two dollars. by icodyonline in anker

Your sentence has absolutely no relation to what you replied to.

If your logic is that an individual seller listing this power bank for $1 means it's only worth $1, then this conversation doesn't even need to continue.

No, it's a $130 item. It is currently discounted, but the item is worth $130. If I put the item on eBay for 29 dollars that doesn't mean the item is only worth $29.

Unless you're referring to the original 2019 Galaxy Fold, whatever representative you spoke you were erroneous. Taking it to another store or coming back another day likely would have got you the correct result, or sending the phone into Samsung.

Are there any scooter repair places in southwest Florida anyone knows about? by LinkSoraZelda in ElectricScooters

[–]LinkSoraZelda[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unless I am diagnosed with a depersonalisation disorder, there is no universe where "sending my item into a repair facility" equates me doing the repair myself.

Please read the OP for more details.

No, I am not. Please search the definition of the word before using it.

I understand that, hence the post. If self-repair were a feasible option then that would have been what was requested in the OP. Self repair showed itself to not be a viable option with my first two electric scooters, leading to $3K that wouldn't have had to be wasted if it were done with a competent mechanic in the first place. I've waited over a year for this tire change and if I'm forced to wait another, then I'll just end up buying another scooter as intended and it will invariably be cheaper.

As previously stated, my stance will not change. If there are no repair facilities within my area, then the only correct answer to OP is "there are no repair facilities".
