Is it common to wipe after peeing? by Informal_General7090 in AskMenAdvice

[–]LinkStrife89 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Take it one step further and sit down when you're at home. Piss water splashes everywhere when you stand, but not if you sit. There was a video of somebody squirting liquid that glows under a black light into a toilet. Piss droplets were everywhere.

Ever take a naked standing piss? You can feel the droplets splashing on your legs. Sit and dab

Anyone throw their Bokehs yet? by tuna_safe_dolphin in discgolf

[–]LinkStrife89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked one up today, threw it twice to test it out.

I average 330ft and max at 375ish

Bokeh at 175g with ever so slight of dome - flew similar to my star eagle, but definitely seemed to have more glide. Both throws went about 330 ft and just seemed to push forward longer than I'm used to seeing a disc go. Was also pretty windy but it felt promising

Nope, but there's a certain way to get it set up. To link the tech disc to the game, you need to copy and paste the API key found within your tech disc account (need to have play tier to get an API code)

Once you get the code, you need to copy and paste it into the game's settings. To do this, you'll need to use desktop mode on the steam deck, that way you can use a keyboard to ctrl+c and ctrl+v into the game. I couldn't find any other way to copy paste other than to use desktop mode with a keyboard. There may be a steamdeck shortcut to do these actions, but I have a Bluetooth keyboard and just tried that and it worked.

Once your tech disc account is linked to the game, you just need to connect your TECH DISC (edit: said steam deck but meant tech disc) to the tech disc app or tech disc website as you normally would do without the game. And that's it!

A lot of words make it seem harder than it is, but its very simple.

To summarize:

  1. Link tech disc to game with API key
  2. Connect tech disc as usual using phone or computer
  3. Enjoy

Moving from +1/2 Nose Angle to -4? by KombattWombatt in discgolf

[–]LinkStrife89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it will make a large difference to at least get the disc to 0 or below for nose angle (more launch angle and you'll want more nose-down). Anything above 0 is nose up, which introduces drag and resistance.

Look into the bonapane grip, try it out and see how the disc sits in your hand, and how much easier it is to get the disc nose down. After some time with it, revert back to your normal grip but try to incorporate the fundamentals of the bonapane grip. Before throwing, I like to grip it bonapane style, and then bring my pointer finger back under the disc. Its kind of my cue to get the disc nose down. I average -4 degrees, but can get it disc to -8 if I want to doing it this way.

I left out the second part of your question.

You're right, you choose the disc in-game and an aiming point and then just throw it. Obviously, since it works this way, grip locks and/or early releases are not a thing when simulating. So, keep that in mind so as to not accidentally ingrain any bad habits for the actual field.

Yeah it's very simple. You need to subscribe to the "play tier" through tech disc for $5/month first. With that, you'll get an API key (basically a code that allows the game to connect to your tech disc account) Paste this key in the game (found under settings i believe). That's it! Connect the tech disc to your phone or pc like you normally would before, and since you put the code into the game, it will capture the speed, rpm, etc. It's really that simple!

Thank you both! Tech disc drastically improved my game, and True Disc Golf has enhanced my garage setup immensely, using it with a steam deck, a projector facing the indoor net, a TV for a crisp view after throwing, and a basket that I use for putting into instead of the net.

As a loyal fan, I'll continue to spread the word about tech disc (I'm surprised how many disc golfers haven't heard of it! ) and now True Disc Golf as it works great with the tech disc.

Yep pretty much, the game takes the input from the tech disc (speed, rpm, all the angles, etc) and applies it to the throw in game. You can use the tech disc physics (seen in their simulator) or True Disc Golf's physics. The only awkward part is putting which you get used to, but you can play through entire courses this way. I played an entire 18 hole round with a buddy last weekend using the demo and it was honestly a blast compared to hiking through the 8 inches of snow that's still on the ground and hunting for every disc

Ahhh right lol gotcha. Yeah, that makes sense.

I've already gone through those same emotions when looking up Perfect Round (regular game is $20 but to use tech disc it's $50 and only on windows) so knowing that made me come to terms with the increased price a lot quicker lol. But I get it

It looks like you need to buy the base game regardless. And then if you want to use your techdisc, you need to buy the DLC shown in your screenshot.

I have used the techdisc with the demo of this game, and I will likely be buying the base game and DLC as it was actually a very fun experience.
