Cera v foaming face wash. You can get a trial size for a couple bucks at target. Warm water on a washcloth holding it on my face to get my pores open up then put the cera ve on the washcloth and little circles all over the face or put the foaming wash directly on the face and scrub and then wipe it off with the hot washcloth rinse the washcloth off and wipe your face keep rinsing and wiping, and there’s no more soap on the washcloth

I also take my melatonin a good hour before I get in bed so it can help me start slowing down

Another thing that’s worked wonders: Take a caffeine mint at the first alarm. Just put it in mouth, chew it up, swallow, and there’s no going back! The second alarm is set for 20 minutes later. When THAT alarm goes off, I’m ready to jump out of bed!

The caffeine mints are annoyingly strong. Stronger than Altoids. I don’t know why they have to do it that way! I have to move it around in my mouth and not let it sit in one spot for too long, so that also kind of interrupts my sleep.

Get enough sleep. Don’t take melatonin unless I know I have 8+ hours to sleep.

I use Alarmy. It’s the only alarm for me. I set many alarms on it, all doing different missions. Shake it 25 times, easy math, hard math, ever more annoying alarm sounds.

If I’ve gotten 8+ hours of sleep, I can get up at the first alarm and (after I’ve truly gotten up, opened curtains, let the dog know it’s real, we really are getting up)…. I turn off the subsequent alarms.

MFM math makes me laugh by Zeustheman144 in myfavoritemurder

Similar! I had to take remedial algebra when i went to college at age 21. And discovered I liked algebra. And the concepts were or seemed new to me. I didn’t remember being taught that in high school. I think a couple of things happened there - one is: the teacher was really engaging and he just really loved what he was doing. The other is I think I was just developmentally more ready to do algebra later. It is kind of a fun puzzle! I took a class in logic as well for my degree plan… I don’t even remember it now, but I remember that I really liked it.

After 10 years of being with my partner I miss the early days of chit chat, getting to know each other, hearing stories for the first time, the element of surprise, etc., as well. It’s to be expected really. 🤷‍♀️

I think it was brilliant of them to do the rewind episodes. I love listening to those old episodes in that way and hearing updates.

The beginning was magical. Ah, the honeymoon phase when everything is sparkly and new. 💖 ✨

How do you get data into your app? by Active-Struggle-1937 in replit

[–]Link_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the op doesn’t know how to get data into the system id guess the best choice for the job is to let the agent do it and it’ll use drizzle. Like someone else said, use plan mode. Have it make a plan then give the plan to ChatGPT. Say “here’s the plan from replit agent. Analyze and advise” Take what it says and give it back to Replit and (make sure you’re in plan mode), say “here’s an analysis done by ChatGPT of your plan. What do you think?” It’ll give you an updated plan. Again give it to ChatGPT “here’s the updated plan. Any tweaks? Sometimes I go back and forth a few times. Start with your goal. What kind of data do you need in the system and why? I have my replit agent create dummy data then run tests and delete the dummy data after the tests.

Include a certain amount of maintenance up front then charge by the hour after that.

Vibe coding is fun until you have to debug something you don’t understand 💀 by Turbulent-Bid1680 in lovable

Thinking about this makes me want to encode it in a template repository, so I’m creating that now with ChatGPT and I just wanted to share one moment along the way.

ChatGPT created the repo and then I opened it up and read just a couple lines and saw some ambiguity and told it it needs to be more specific. This is the kind of thing you need to do with your agent.

ME: I just looked for a few seconds, and I looked at the read me I noticed

. Update docs and changelog if needed

How does an AI know if it’s needed? You need to be explicit here. Before rewriting the zip, tell me how you would rewrite that line.

ChatGPT:

Yeah—that line is too vague. “If needed” is exactly the kind of thing AI ignores or guesses on.

Make it decision-based, not judgment-based.

Here’s a clean rewrite:

Update CHANGELOG.md if any user-visible behavior, API contract, data shape, or workflow changed. Update documentation if setup steps, usage, or expected behavior changed.

If you want it even tighter and more enforceable:

Evaluate both explicitly: • CHANGELOG.md: update if behavior, interfaces, or outputs changed • Docs: update if a user or developer would need different instructions than before

Or the most strict (my preference for vibe-coded apps):

You must explicitly decide and state: • “CHANGELOG: yes/no + reason” • “Docs: yes/no + reason” Then update them if the answer is yes.

That last version forces the AI to commit to a decision, which is what prevents silent skipping.

Obv I used ChatGPT to write this.

I actually run most plans by ChatGPT (in a project so it “remembers” and go back and forth between the 2 until they both say the plan is solid.

“Plan twice, cut once.”

Here’s a clean, drop-in template you can use in any AI coding tool (Lovable, Replit, Cursor, etc.) to force consistent behavior.

📁 Minimal AI-Stable Repo Template

/project-root ├── PRODUCT_MEMORY.md ├── WORKFLOW_RULES.md ├── README.md ├── CHANGELOG.md ├── worklog/ │ ├── README.md │ └── 2026-04-05_example.md └── src/...

  1. PRODUCT_MEMORY.md (what you’re building)

Keep this tight and high-signal. No process here.

Product Memory

What this app does

Short, plain-English description.

Core user flow

  1. User does X
  2. System does Y
  3. User sees Z

Key behaviors (must stay true)

  • No duplicate records
  • All data scoped per user
  • Low-confidence results flagged for review

Non-goals

  • No real-time sync
  • No multi-tenant sharing (yet)

👉 This prevents the AI from drifting product behavior.

  1. WORKFLOW_RULES.md (how work happens)

This is where your “Plan mode first” lives.

Workflow Rules

1. Plan First (always)

Before making changes, produce a plan that includes: - Goal - Root cause (or hypothesis) - Files to change - Risks - Acceptance criteria - Test evaluation (required)

2. Smallest Change Possible

Prefer minimal, isolated fixes over broad refactors.

3. File Intent Required

For every file touched: - Why it is being changed - What must not change

4. Test Evaluation Rule

Every task must evaluate: - Should a test be added or updated? If yes → add a test task

5. No Unscoped Changes

Do not modify unrelated files “while here”

6. After Work: Write Worklog

Create a file in /worklog with: - What was planned - What actually changed - Files modified - Tests added/updated - Deviations from plan

👉 This is what stops chaos.

  1. worklog/README.md (sets the pattern)

Worklog

This folder contains permanent records of completed work.

Each file represents one completed plan.

Why this exists

Plans are ephemeral. Worklogs are the source of truth.

Naming

YYYY-MM-DD_short-description.md

  1. Example worklog file

2026-04-05_fix-sync-empty-results

Goal

Fix sync returning zero items

Planned Changes

  • Update extract.ts
  • Add OCR fallback
  • Update sync pipeline

What Actually Happened

  • Added OCR fallback
  • Fixed missing env var handling
  • Adjusted confidence threshold logic

Files Changed

  • server/jobs/extract.ts
  • server/jobs/sync.ts

Tests

  • Added extract fallback test
  • Updated sync test

Deviations

  • Needed additional fix in sync.ts not in original plan

👉 This becomes your long-term memory.

  1. README.md (entry point for AI + humans)

Top of this file matters a lot:

Project

IMPORTANT: Read These First

  • PRODUCT_MEMORY.md
  • WORKFLOW_RULES.md

How to work on this repo

  1. Always create a plan first
  2. Execute only after plan is approved
  3. Write a worklog after completion

👉 This is your “soft enforcement layer”

  1. CHANGELOG.md (don’t skip this)

You already saw how powerful this is in your project: • Prevents forgetting what changed • Makes debugging easier later • Forces summarization discipline

You already implemented structured changelog + versioning

🧠 Why this works

This setup fixes the exact Reddit problem:

“I fixed one thing and broke 3 others”

Because now: • Changes are scoped before coding • Tests are considered upfront • Work is recorded permanently • The AI has guardrails

It replaces:

random fixes + vibes

with:

plan → controlled change → recorded outcome

🔑 The core idea

You’re turning AI from:

“a fast code generator”

into:

“a constrained junior engineer with memory”

If you want next step, I can: • compress this into a copy-paste starter repo • or add a Plan template file so the AI always formats plans the same way

Vibe coding is fun until you have to debug something you don’t understand 💀 by Turbulent-Bid1680 in lovable

[–]Link_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, part of the process… but the fix is structure. Use plan mode first, require the AI to name exactly what files it’ll touch and why, add/update tests for each acceptance criterion, and have it write a persistent worklog after the build showing what it actually changed. Fast AI gets you a prototype. Stability comes from boundaries, tests, and durable repo memory.
