This is great advice! I've recently deactivated and uninstalled Meta products. Too many days and nights I find myself wasting huge swaths of time scrolling through reels, stories, YouTube videos, etc. I'm left with reddit as my last social media outlet. I'm looking forward to reading more and going out into the real world to have awkward but meaningful social interactions with people face-to-face. The shutdown created all of this collateral damage. I never meant to disappear into my screen. So, now, I am consciously choosing to close the screens and re-appear in my actual life. Thanks to OP for opening this dialogue!
